DISCLAIMERS AND OTHER NOTES: PNS Approval #xxxxxxxxxxx. This meet will be held under the approval of Pacific Northwest Swimming, Inc., (PNS), and USA Swimming, Inc. In granting this approval, it is agreed and understood that PNS and USA Swimming shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. This is a closed YMCA meet open to YMCA teams only. All swimmers must be full privilege members of their YMCA.

LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS: South Kitsap Community Pool, 425 Mitchell Avenue, Port Orchard.Directions from I-5: Take Hwy 16 west for about 24 miles to the Sedgwick Rd exit. Turn right at the stop light onto Sedgwick Rd. Go about 3/4 mile to the next light at Bethel Rd. Take a left onto Bethel Rd., heading north until you reach a traffic circle. Take the first right off the circle and go under the overpass. At the first light after the overpass turn left onto school property; a ball field will be on your right after the turn. The pool is just past the field on the right at the base of the hill.

Directions from Seattle/Bremerton Ferry: Follow signs for WA-3 S/Shelton and WA-16E. Take the WA16E exit toward Port Orchard. Turn left onto Bay Street. Take the first right onto Mitchel Avenue. The school will be on your left, and the pool is just past the ball field at the base of the hill. Parking available at the pool and in the upper high school parking lot. Park in marked stalls only. Vehicles parked in a non-marked area or in a fire zone may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense by the Port Orchard Police Department. ENTRY INFORMATION

Entries due: JUNE 12, 2016 -- Late entries, if accepted at the discretion of the Meet Director, will be subject to double the entry fee.

Entry limits: Each swimmer may enter up to THREE (3) individual events and one (1) relay.

Entry note: This is a long course (50M) meet. Seeding will be LCM

Entry fee: The entry fee is $10.00 per swimmer, covering both individual and relay events.

AWARDS: Individual Events: Ribbons 1st – 6th places.Relay Events: Ribbons 1st – 3rd places.

Individual events will be awarded by age group and gender.

Events 9, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16, 17, and 19 will be awarded 8/U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15/O. Events 1, 8, and 26 will be awarded 10/U, 11-12, 13-14, and 15/O.

Events 12, 14, and 18 will be awarded 11-12, 13-14, and 15/O.

Results will be posted as they become available.

FACILITY: Competition pool: 50 meter, 6-lane competitive pool; starting end 7.0 feet deep and turning end 12.0 feet deep. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). No separate warm-up/cool-down facility available; breaks in competition may be offered by the Meet Referee, timeline permitting.

Timing system: Semi- automatic timing: 2 buttons/3 watches per lane.

Spectator seating: 350 spectator seats in bleacher area, plus limited deck space for personal chairs at the diving board end of the pool. Please reserve the side of the pool opposite the locker room for coaches and officials.

Concessions: Concessions will be for sale in the alcove off diving-board end of the pool

Vendor: Fircrest swim shop will be on site.

Hospitality: Hospitality will be available for coaches and officials.

Heat sheets: $2.00 each – for sale in the Concessions area

SAFETY REMINDERS:

For everyone’s safety, please respect the lifeguards and comply with their requests.

1. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, locker rooms, or behind the starting blocks.

2. Changing in or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited.

3. The South Kitsap Community Pool is located on the campus of the South Kitsap High School. The possession and/or use of any alcohol or tobacco products or of any firearm or other weapon on school grounds is prohibited by law. Violators are subject to fines and arrest.

4. Glass containers are not allowed anywhere in the pool building, including lobbies and locker rooms.

5. No flash photography at any time in the pool area.

MEET RULES:

*Except as noted below, all individual events will be pre-seeded timed finals events, seeded and swum slow-to fast and mixed girls and boys.

*Events 12, 14, and 18 are open only to swimmers age 11&O.

*Event 20, 400 Free, will be seeded and swum mixed girls and boys, fast to slow, requiring a positive check-in before the start of Event #9 in order to swim. Qualifying time: 8:00.00 – enter with the swimmer’s best 500 yard freestyle time. Swimmers must provide their own timers.

*All relay teams must be single-gender. Relay events will be pre-seeded timed finals events, seeded and swum in event number order.

*The Meet Referee reserves the right to combine events.

*All participating swimmers must be under the supervision of a YMCA coach and may not enter the water at any time unless under said supervision. Coaches are responsible for their team’s swimmers throughout the meet, including warm-ups and cool-downs.

*Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by their YMCA coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water.

*Visiting teams may be asked to assist with timing.

*Coaches and teams are asked to clean up their area before leaving the meet.
