JUNE 2014 NEWSLETTER
Welcome to all members and especially any visitors tonight. The minutes are on display at the meeting. We are hoping to be able to move forward to email out much more information to members, i.e. minutes, newsletter, advance notices etc. If you have anything you would like included in the newsletter please email me on . Tonight we have Sara Hinton from Black Orchid Florist giving a demonstration on flower arranging.

Warlingham WI Events for your diaries:
· Don’t forget about the Craft Afternoon on Thursdays from 2 – 4.00pm at 23 Shelton Avenue, this has proved an enjoyable afternoon but we need more members to attend to keep it going.
· 9th June Denman Taster Day - may possibly be one place left see Ann if interested.
· 19th June Chinese Meal at Modern Times Restaurant in Hamsey Green please sign up tonight. Bookings will only be made for those members who have paid their deposit.
· 6th July 2.00pm. Afternoon Tea at St Mary’s Church board out please sign up.
· 11th August 10 pin bowling at Purley – sign up tonight.
Monthly walks will cease unless there is sufficient interest from members.
Don’t forget to check the table at each meeting and sign up for the events you are interested in. Without enough support these outings/events will not take place. It you your W.I. and we want to arrange the things you are interested in. If you have any suggestions for speakers, outings etc. please see Ann at the meeting. The afternoon tea and garden tour at Chartwell was very successful l3 members attended.
Federation Events

Please let the President have news of any members who are unwell, or who are celebrating special occasions – Golden Wedding etc so this can be announced and we can keep in contact with members who are unable to attend the meeting through illness. Ann’s email address is
Raffles: Tonight’s raffle – star prize Knights’ Garden Voucher
We are proposing to try out an idea of having a special raffle quarterly with bigger prizes, this will be announced in advance. We have managed to obtain some good donated prizes but if any member has any connection with any organisation who would be prepared to donate a prize, voucher etc please let June White know.
TWEEK A £20.
There will be a board going round again tonight for members to buy squares at £1.50 each. Half money will go to the Tweek a £20 Surrey Event and the remainder will be given to the winning square. Please support this, the more squares we sell the bigger the prize! Most of the squares already sold, if you missed this last month please buy one tonight.
