Preferred Classes will run concurrently with the Regular Classes using the same course as the Regular Classes. Agility trials are held rain or shine. However, in the case of severe weather, please call the Teamworks Agility Weather hotline at 919-340-0120. If there is a need to delay or cancel a trial due to extreme conditions, there will be a message on this line.

From Points South/East: Take I-40 West to I-440 (Beltline) to Exit 11 (Route 1 North / Capital Blvd). Continue on Route 1 North/Capital Blvd. until it splits at US-401. Follow US-401 North, which splits to the right. You will go through town of Rolesville and enter Franklin County. Pass Rte 96; turn right on 98 East. Pass Spencer's Gate development. At first major road, turn right on Bethlehem Church Rd (road called Clifton Pond Rd on other side). Turn left onto Robbins Rd. Look for white fence on left. Turn left into second gravel driveway at Teamworks Dog Training sign.
From I-40 Headed East: Exit I-40 onto I-540 East. Continue on I-540 and take the exit for 401 north (Louisburg). Go through town of Rolesville. Pass Rte 96; enter Franklin County. From Durham and Points West of Raleigh: Take I-85 North. Take US-70 East to Raleigh. Stay in the right hand lane. Watch for small sign for Rte 98 East to Wake Forest (it comes up fast). Take Rte 98 East to Wake Forest. You will be on this road for about 40 minutes. Pass Route 50; pass Rte 1. Go through Wake Forest, following signs stay on Rte 98 East. Pass Rte 96. Pass Rte 401. Pass Spencer's Gate development. At first major road, turn right on Bethlehem Church Rd (called Clifton Pond Rd on other side). Turn left onto Robbins Rd Look for white fence on left. Turn left into second gravel driveway at Teamworks Dog Training sign.
ENTRY FEES
$23.00 first entry of each dog, each day, $12.00 subsequent entries of same dog, same day. (includes $3.00 AKC recording fee and $3.00 recording fee for subsequent entries)
Please make checks payable to Youngsville Agility Club (YAC). Checks made out incorrectly do not constitute a valid entry fee and your entry will be returned.
There will be a $35 fee for returned checks, and the exhibitor may be asked to submit cash or money order for future events. IT IS THE EXHIBITOR’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENTER THE CORRECT CLASS.
All express mail must be left with no acceptance signature required. Entry form changes, additions, corrections and cancellations MUST be received in writing prior to the February 16, 2009 closing date, be legible and include the AKC number, or no refund will be issued. No telephone changes accepted.
GENERAL INFORMATION: The trial will be held outdoors. Your dogs must remain on leash when they are not competing or in the warm-up areas. Poop bags are located throughout the premises for your convenience in picking up after your dog(s). Handlers are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs on the grounds and at the hotels. Handlers found to be in violation of either of these policies may be excused by the Trial Committee without benefit of refund.
SITE INFORMATION: The Standard ring will be outdoors on a flat packed sand area and will be 100’x100’. The Jumpers and FAST ring will be outdoors on a flat grassy area and will be 100’ x 100’. Both agility rings and warm up areas are fully fenced. If the number of entries total less than 260 per day, the club reserves the right to use only the grass ring for all classes. In case of inclement weather, for the safety of both dogs and handlers, the club reserves the right to use only the sand ring, regardless of the number of entries. All dogs must be on leash at all times except when in the ring or the designated warm-up areas. RESERVED PARKING IS ONLY AVAILABLE for RV’s (pre-reservation required), handicapped, and trial committee members. Otherwise, parking is on a first-come, first served basis. Any cones or flagging tape in an attempt to save a parking spot will be removed and thrown away. TENTING is also on a first-come, first served basis. Any cones or flagging tape in an attempt to save a tenting spot will be removed and thrown away. The grounds will be available on Thursday after 3pm for set up (absolutely no earlier). There are signs clearly indicating where parking and tenting are. Anyone caught driving past barriers or disobeying the ground rules will be asked to leave the site without a refund. Youngsville Agility Club and Teamworks Dog Training will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items left at the show site.
FOOD: There will be concession food available on the grounds. Nearby restaurants are located in Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest and Youngsville.

DOGGIE SWIMMING POND: The swimming pond will be available for trial participants, weather permitting. The following rules apply at the pond: NO FISHING IN THE POND. NO FEEDING OF BIRDS OR FISH IN THE POND. NO TOSSING FOOD MATTER OF ANY KIND IN THE WATER. NO HUMANS MAY SWIM IN WADE IN, OR DIVE IN THE POND. Any dog using the pond must be current on Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccinations and must not have chronic coughing, any diarrhea, or any vomiting. No dogs in heat allowed in or around the pond. DOGS WITH A FRESH FRONTLINE-TYPE APPLICATION (LESS THAN 48 HOURS) MAY NOT SWIM IN THE POND. All dog excrement must be removed and disposed of properly in and around the pond. Dogs must remain in the fenced area around the pond to be off leash. Aggressive or unruly dogs or dogs running out of the pond area off leash will be asked to leave. Please allow 2 hours after your dog eats before swimming your dog. There is no guarantee that this pond will be free of snakes or snapping turtles. Please monitor your dog closely and to be safe, keep your dog on a long all-tape Flexi line and have your dog wear a doggie life vest. If you spot a snake or a snapping turtle, please inform Teamworks immediately. There is no guarantee that this pond will remain free of parasites like giardia. If your dog shows signs of sickness, inform Teamworks immediately and please see your veterinarian. In cooler weather, please monitor your dog closely for hypothermia; shivering, vomiting or diarrhea and disorientation, dilated pupils, cramps, and a slowed heart rate are all symptoms. There is no people swimming allowed in the pond, but anyone using the pond assumes all risks associated with swimming and water. There is no lifeguard on duty. Violators of any of these policies will be asked to leave the site without a refund.

ALL DOGS must have a valid AKC jump height card to present at the trial, or the dog will need to be measured on the day of the trial except those dogs in the 24” or 26” class unless a VMO or field representative is present. Photocopies of height cards can be sent along with entry forms to speed up the check-in process.
DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER: This trial is open to all dogs over the age of 15 months that are registered with the American Kennel Club or are registerable breeds that have obtained AKC ILP or PAL numbers, except bitches in heat, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance. Dogs or registerable breeds with an accepted foreign registration number are eligible to participate subject to Chapter 11, Section 1 of the Dog Show Rules. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registerable breeds they may participate. The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely.
It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such cases, no refund of any fees paid will be made. Youngsville Agility Club and Teamworks Dog Training LLC, its agents, members, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further, assume no responsibility for injury to children.
Entry fees for bitches that come into season after the closing date will be refunded (minus a $10.00 administrative fee per day) if a veterinarian certificate is presented to the trial secretary prior to the start of judging. No entry fees will be refunded if the Trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, or any other cause beyond the control of the Club. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by vet or judge or barred from competition by action of the trial committee.
Dogs are not required to be at the trial until the scheduled time of judging. All dogs not needed for further judging are excused. The owner/handler of each dog is solely responsible for having the dog ready at ringside when it is to be judged.
OBSTACLES: Obstacles will meet the specifications for obstacles in the current edition of the regulations for Agility Trials.
WARM-UP areas, consisting of a regulation jump, shall be provided for all exhibitors. Exhibitors may not use the warm up areas to relieve their dogs.
Dogs under 6 months of age are NOT permitted on the show grounds of AKC Agility Events. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.
All dogs must be on leash at all times except when in the ring or when in the designated agility warm-up areas.
CLASS INFORMATION: All regular and preferred Standard and JWW classes will be offered on all days. FAST will be offered on Friday and Saturday. Please consult AKC rules and regulations pertaining to Agility Trials for complete description and eligibility for entry in these classes. The exhibitor is fully responsible for entering the dog in the correct class/division.
PRIZES AND AWARDS: Rosettes and small prizes for dogs valued at $1.00 TO 2.00 dollars will be awarded to the first through fourth place in each height division. Only qualifying scores are eligible for ribbons. Qualifying ribbons will be awarded to those dogs receiving qualifying scores. A special rosette and a MACH Bar will be offered for all dogs earning a MACH. All prizes must be claimed the day of the show, none will be mailed.
MOVE-UP REGULATIONS: If a dog earns an agility title before this event, it can be
advanced to the next level of competition. However, written notice (email is acceptable) must be given to the Trial Secretary, no later than 6:00 pm, on Monday Mar 16, 2009. Day to day move-ups will be offered – written notice must be provided by close of the trial on Saturday, which will be considered the awarding of the ribbons for the last class on that day. Move-ups will be added to the end of the running order of the class they move up to. No verbal changes will be accepted.
HEIGHT CARDS: A photocopy of your dog’s official height card may be included with the entry form. Please attach to the back of the entry form. If sending in entries for multiple dogs, please separate height card and attach the individual dog’s card to the dog’s entry. Please do not send copies of height cards for multiple dogs on one sheet of paper.
INITIAL CONFIRMATIONS: If you wish confirmation of RECEIPT of entries, provide a valid, unblocked e-mail address or you may enclose a pre-addressed, pre-paid post card. Entries will be acknowledged via email when they are received and after the random draw.
FINAL CONFIRMATIONS: Entries including a valid, unblocked e-mail address will
receive confirmations via e-mail. Entries without a valid e-mail address will receive
confirmations via the US Post Office. If you provided an e-mail address but wish to
receive your final confirmation via the US Post Office, please contact the trial secretary. If you have not received a copy of your confirmation before the show, contact the Trial Secretary.
