2013 Vallivue Youth Basketball (YBall) League
For Boys in Grades: 1st- 2nd, 3RD- 4TH, 5TH- 6TH
The Vallivue Youth Basketball League is a great opportunity to develop basketball fundamentals, make friends, and have fun. Our goal is to help young players develop basketball skills to enable success in the future. We also want to promote sportsmanship, competiveness, and community involvement.
Registration Form: In order to participate in the Boy’s YBall League, the registration form must be completed and signed by a parent. Please bring the completed form to the registration night.
Registration Night: Registration will be held at the Vallivue High School cafeteria on Tuesday, December 11th from 5:30-6:30 pm. Please come with your registration form completed and payment available.

Cost: $45.00 per player. There are also multi-player family discount: $80.00 for 2 players, $120.00 for 3 players. Please make checks payable to “Vallivue High School Basketball” Payment must be presented with the registration form on the night of registration. Registration is due by Friday, December 14th NOW EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, DECEMBER 21st! Any registration received after that date will be subject to a $10.00 Late Fee.
Team Selection:
1st & 2nd: Team selection for the 1st and 2nd grade leagues will be based on a mixture of the grade levels, elementary boundaries, and height.
3rd & 4th: Team selection for the 3rd and 4th grade leagues will be based on a mixture of the grade levels, elementary boundaries, and height.
5th & 6th: Team selection for the 5th and 6th grade leagues will be based on elementary boundaries and height. All teams will be formed by the elementary school boundaries you live in. This is for practice reasons. We will abide by this so teams will not become uneven by the requests to be with friends.
Practice Dates and Times: Practice for all grade levels will be on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s. They will start no earlier than 4:30pm and conclude no later than 8:00pm. Practice time should be limited to one hour and no more than two times a week per team. Practices will start the week of January 7th.
Game Dates and Times: All games will be played on Saturday mornings, beginning on January 12th. The earliest game start times will be 8:00am. The final weekend will be Saturday, February 9th.
YBall League Nights will be held during various Vallivue HS Boy’s Basketball Home Games in January and February. Please join us at the game to recognize your son and your son’s coach while supporting your Falcon Basketball team! Free entry will be given to your son (with a paid adult) if they wear their YBall League uniform! More information will be available soon.
***We need volunteer coaches to support this program. If you’re interested, please fill out the volunteer coach section on the bottom of the registration form. Enough coaches are necessary in order for YBall League to proceed.

We will have a Coach’s Informational Clinic (with On-Court demonstrations) on Saturday, January 5th at 10:00am in the VHS Main Gym. A Coach’s packet with schedule, rosters, drills, and VHS Basketball Philosophy’s and Teachings will be provided. All Coaches will be expected to attend this clinic before coaching a team.
