Announcements:The Board is looking for nominations for the Outstanding Member and Service Citation Awards. The requirements for consideration outlined in Sections XVI and XVII of the By-Laws. Nominations should be forwarded to Joey Leonard by December 31, 2004. Forms will be included in the Directory.

Scholarship applications are now being considered. The Scholarship Application can be found on the Chapter web site. If you do not have access to a computer, please contact Anna Halaychik at 920-725-0059 for a hard copy. Please have the candidates complete the forms and return to:

/Membership:Jim Olson reported the membership at 334 as of 7/31/04. We need to increase our efforts to recruit new members.

N.E.W. BucksThe Board has decided to make a change in the format for N.E.W. Bucks. Starting with the October meeting, and until further notice, $50 will be awarded every meeting. Drawing the name from the dinner reservations for that night will choose the winner.

Raffle:We will be selling raffle tickets for a 2-night stay for 2 at Osthoff Resort, Elkart Lake WI. This will include $200 in spending money. The package is good through 5/26/05, but does require advance reservation.

Return Cards:To help control costs it is important to have an accurate count of members attending for dinner. If you are unable to return your card prior to the due date, please contact Anna at 920-725-0059 and let her know how many will be attending. We also encourage you to reply via our web site, afsnew.org. It is important that we inform Germania’s of an accurate count for dinner by Wednesday of the week before the meeting. Please mail your card by September 24, 2004,or call by September 30, 2004.
