Desperate criminal Yogesh @ Titu Tyagi caught

One of the most wanted criminals of Western UP

Carried a cash reward of Rs. 20,000/- on his head

Crime Branch Delhi Police has arrested Yogesh @ Titu Tyagi (39) s/o Suresh Chand Tyagi r/o H No. 966, Master Colony, Brahmpuri, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Police had declared a cash reward of Rs. 20,000/- on any information leading to his arrest. He is one of the most wanted criminals of Western Uttar Pradesh. He was wanted in several cases of murder and attempt to murder in Meerut, UP. He had been absconding since the year 2004.

INFORMATION AND TEAM

On 21st November 2007, Insp. K G Tyagi of Interstate Cell Crime Branch Chanakyapuri Delhi developed information that Yogesh @ Titu Tyagi would be coming near Hanuman Temple, Tilak Bridge, Delhi to meet one of his associates. A team led by Insp. K G Tyagi including SI. Ram Avtar, SI. Mukesh, SI. Shiv Raj, ASI. Jai Singh, HC. Hakikat Rai, HC. Omender HC. Shiv Kumar, HC. Om Prakash, HC. Rajiv, Ct. (Dvr) Rajpal, Ct. Manoj, Ct. Pradeep, Ct, Ravinder, Ct. Kirti, Ct. Bhagwan Sahai and Ct. (Dvr) Randhir.

OPERATION

On 21st November 2007 at about 06:00 pm the team was deployed in plain clothes near the Hanuman Temple, Tilak Bridge, Delhi. At about 07:00 pm the team spotted Yogesh @ Titu Tyagi coming towards the spot. He stood waiting for someone for about 15 minutes. When he started moving away the police team apprehended him.

On sustained interrogation he broke down and admitted to the fact that he was Yogesh @ Titu Tyagi and was wanted by Meerut Police for several cases of heinous nature. In total he was found involved in 14 criminal cases of heinous nature.

CRIMINAL PROFILE

Yogesh @ Titu Tyagi and his brother Dimple Tyagi gained notoriety for committing numerous sensational robberies, extortion and murders. Dimple Tyagi was recently shot down in a police encounter in Meerut last month. Yogesh Tyagi revealed involvement in five cases of murder, four cases of attempt to murder, two cases of Gangsters Act, two cases of Arms Act and one case of criminal intimidation.

Yogesh Tyagi started his criminal career back in the year 1991 when he started his extortion racket and a case of criminal intimidation was registered against him at PS. Brahmpuri, Meerut, UP.

He committed his first murder in the year 1992 when he and his associates kidnapped and murdered one brick kiln owner for not giving him protection money. A case was registered at PS. Partapur, Meerut UP for the same.

In 1994 he and his associates robbed one businessman from Ajmer Rajasthan in Meerut. When the businessman resisted they shot him dead and took away Rs. 3.5 lakhs cash he was carrying.

He killed his own maternal uncle over a property dispute in the year 1996 and a case was registered at PS. Brahmpuri, Meerut UP for the same.

In the year 2001 he and his gang took money and shot dead one Dharam Dutt @ Dharma who was the local Shiv Sena leader in Transport Nagar, Meerut.

In 2004 he and his associates including his brother Dimple Tyagi demanded money from one Rajesh Chowdhary, owner of Delhi Bakeries in Meerut. When Sh. Rajesh Chowdhary refused they shot him dead. The Uttar Pradesh Police had declared a cash reward of Rs. 20,000/- on any information leading to his arrest after this case.

Apart from these cases Yogesh @ Titu Tyagi has committed numerous other crimes including robberies and attempt to murder in Meerut UP. In the year 2007 itself, Yogesh @ Titu was found involved in two cases of attempt to murder at police stations Inchauli Meerut and Partapur Meerut.

In both these cases Yogesh @ Titu Tyagi along with his associates including Dimple Tyagi (his younger brother) had targeted gold traders. They had incepted vehicles carrying gold and cash and had tried to rob them. In both the instances the gang had failed to loot the vehicles and cases were registered for attempt to murder and attempt robbery respectively.

Yogesh @ Titu has been arrested by the Crime Branch Team. UP police has been intimated regarding his arrest. Yogesh @ Titu shall be produced in Patiala House Court today.

GURU NANAK DEV JI BIRTH DAY PROCESSION ON 23RD NOV 2007

The annual commemorative procession (NAGAR KIRTAN) on the occasion of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji birthday is being organized on 23RD November 2007. The procession will assemble at Parade Ground Esplanade road near Gurdwara Sis Ganj, Chandni Chowk and proceed for Gurdwara Nanak Piao Old G.T. Road. The route of procession will be as follows:-

START PARADE GROUND – ESPLANADE ROAD CHANDNI CHOWK - FATEHPURI KHARI BAOLI - QUTAB ROAD CHOWK - AZAD MARKET - RANI JHANSI ROAD ROSHANARA ROAD - GHANTA GHAR - GT ROAD - SHAKTI NAGAR CHOWK TERMINATE GURDWARA NANAK PIAO.

A procession is likely to start at 1000 hrs after the participant congregate from various areas of Delhi and will terminate around 2200 hours. A large number of devotees will participate in this procession, which will include Palki Sahib, several thousands persons, vehicles, school children, bands, gutka parties, etc. Enroute a large number of persons line up to view the procession and take prasad, which is distributed by the organizers.

Traffic Police has made elaborate arrangements in order to regulate movement of procession and give timely diversion so that the road users face minimum inconvenience. Road users are advised to follow the directions given by the traffic personnel to ensure smooth movement and to minimize traffic dislocation and disruption. They must plan their journey in advance and avoid going on the route of the procession and on roads situated in its immediate vicinity.

As per the location and ground situation of the procession on the above designated route, traffic will be diverted for some time at the following points: -

Use of Rani Jhansi Road may be avoided during the evening time for movement from North Delhi to Central and New Delhi and vice versa. City buses will be diverted from Rani Jhansi Road, Roshanara Road and GT Karnal Road from 1400 hours onwards depending on the position of the procession. Road from Shakti Nagar Chowk to GT Road Ashok Vihar ‘T’ point will remain heavily congested from 2000 hours upto midnight in view of heavy confluence of devotees and dispersal of procession. Road users are advised to avoid Shakti Nagar Chowk and GT Road between this stretch and use Ring Road and Ashok Vihar road and Swami Narayan Marg as alternative passage.

CAR STEREO THIEF ARRESTED : MANY CASES OF CAR STEREO THEFT SOLVED.

INTRODUCTION

With the arrest of a person namely Deepak, aged 18 years, S/o Brijesh, r/o Ratiya Marg, Sangam Vihar, Delhi, the South District Police has solved about 26 cases of car stereo theft and recovered 7 costly car stereo from his possession.

INCIDENT, TEAM & INVESTIGATION:

On 20.11.07, in the evening, a secret information was received in the Police Post Sanik Farm, PS Ambedkar Nagar that one person who is involved in many cases of car stereo theft and other accessories would come in the area of Sanik Farm near Devli Band Road at around 9.30 p.m. Acting immediately on the information, the Police team consisting of SI Rajesh Kumar, I/C PP Sanik Farm, ASI Vir Singh and Ct. Surender led by Inspr. Subhash Tandon , SHO/Ambedkar Nagar gathered more information about the accused. The police team laid a trap near Band Road, Devli and at about 9.30 p.m. and apprehended one Deepak. On his personal search the police team recovered 7 stolen car stereos.

INTERROGATION

Upon sustained interrogation Deepak disclosed that he is involved in the theft of car stereo and other accessories like car windows beadings, side mirror etc. and that 7 car stereos, which the Police team recovered from him, had been stolen by him from the area of P.S Ambedkar Nagar, Malviya Nagar and adjoining areas. He further disclosed that he used to sell these stolen car stereos and other car accessories/parts in the Sunday market near Indira Gandhi Stadium and to the drivers who used to come to Delhi from different States at Old Delhi Railway Station. He is 5th class pass and to earn quick and easy money he got involved in this crime. During the course of interrogation it has also been revealed that he had stolen 12 car stereos from the area of PS Malviya Nagar, 4 each from Ambedkar Nagar and Greater Kailash, 1 from Defence Colony and 5 car stereos from the area of PS Kalkaji. It is disclosed by him that he had already sold around 100 such car stereos in a span of 1 ½ years.The Police team solved about 26 cases of theft of car stereos.

GANG OF ROBBERS HELD : PLANING OF DACOITY IN A FLAT FOILED.

INTRODUCTION

With the arrest of 5 persons namely i) Taj Mohd, aged 35 years, S/o Bachan Khan, r/o Govindpuri Transit Camp, Delhi, ii) Nadeem, aged 34 years S/o Mohd. Mustkin, r/o Turkman Gate, Delhi, iii) Shahbuddin, aged 24 years S/o Kalimuddin, r/o Govind Puri, Delhi, iv) Mukesh, aged 25 years S/o Raju Mishra and v) Gurmeet Singh, aged 27 yeasrs S/o Harbhajan Singh, residents of Govindpuri, Delhi, the South District Police has busted a gang of robbers and foiled the planning to commit robbery in a flat and recovered, 2 button actuated knives, 1 iron rod, 1 torch and 1 stick from their possession.

INCIDENT, TEAM & INVESTIGATION:

On 21.11.07 at about 8.00 p.m. a secret information was received in PP Govindpuri, PS Kalkaji, that 4-5 robbers, who are involved in many cases of theft, robberies etc. would assemble in a Park at Gvoind Puri with arms to plan a dacoity in a house at A-14 Pocket, Govindpuri, Kalkaji, Delhi. Sensin the gravity of information, a team consisting of SI Upender Singh, ASI Kaleem, HCs Vinay, Satpal, Cts. Narender and Dharmvir led by Inspr. Joginder Kumar, SHO/Kalkaji was constituted under overall supervision of Sh. V.P. Singh, ACP/Kalkaji. The police team laid a trap near the Park and at about 9.15 p.m., 5 persons assembled in the said park. The police team apprehended all the above said persons and recovered 2 button actuated knives one each from the possession of Mukesh and Taj Mohd.. 1 torch was recovered from the possession of Gurmeet, 1 iron rod was recovered from Shahbuddin and 1 stick was recovered from the possession of Nadeem. Accordingly a case of preparation for dacoity and Arms Act was registered against them.

INTERROGATION

During the course of sustained interrogation it was revealed that Nadeem is the B.C. of Turkman Gate and he is involved 16 cases of theft, NDPS Act, Arms Act and robberies. Taj Mohd is also found involved in 4 cases of Arms Act and robberies. Shahbuddin and Mukesh are found involved in 2 cases each of Arms Act and theft. They all are early school drop outs and were committing crime for their livelihood. They have planned to commit robbery in a flat at Govind Puri, as they have information that no one might be available during the night time in the flat.

RECOVERY

1. Two button actuated knives.

2. One iron rod, one torch and one stick.

NOTORIOUS GANG OF ROBBERS BUSTED : BLIND MURDER-CUM-ROBBERY CASE OF PS NAND NAGRI WORKED OUT

With the arrest of (1) Vipin aged 21 years s/o Mahipal r/o Vill. Tila Shahbazpur, PS Loni, UP; (2) Sunny @ Sachin aged 21 years s/o Ram Gopal r/o Vill. Tila Shahbazpur, PS Loni, UP and (3) Narender @ Babloo aged 20 years s/o Shiv Bhavan r/o 46/3, Gali No.4, Amit Vihar, Delhi, the staff of P.S. Nand Nagri, North East District has solved a blind murder-cum-robbery case which was reported at Police Station Nand Nagri on 18.11.07. 810 Kg. copper which was robbed in another robbery-cum-murder case of PS Nand Nagri reported on 14.9.09, the weapons of offence i.e. two knives and robbed purse have been recovered.

TEAM & INCIDENT

A team consisting of Inspr. Satish Kumar SHO/Nand Nagri, Inspr. Law & Order Pankaj Sharma, Inspr. Investigation Bachchu Singh, SI Ajay Negi, HC Jagdish, HC Ravinder, Ct. Narender, Ct. Sukhbir and Ct. Vijaywas constituted under the supervision of Shri Rajesh Dev, ACP/Seema Puri/NE.

On 18.11.2007 at about 10:30 PM, one Jagdish r/o C-6, Shivaji Park, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi along with driver Vinod Kumar had come to Saboli Industrial Area on truck No.UP-14 Q-1734. Driver Vinod parked the truck on the road side in front of Dhan Laxmi Dharam Kanta, Saboli Industrial Area, Delhi and both of them slept in the cabin after locking it from inside. At about 12:30 AM, someone broke the glasses of the cabin and asked them to open it at the point of a knife. He got frightened and opened the doors of the cabin. Meanwhile, two more boys aged about 20/25 years equipped with knives in their hands entered the cabin and forcibly took out Rs.700/- and purse containing some important documents from the pocket of Jagdish. At the same time, driver Vinod attempted to drive the truck away but one of the accused overpowered him and other accused stabbed him on his back. Thereafter, all the accused persons put the cash, purse and documents of truck in a polethene and fled away. Jagdish took the injured Vinod in the same truck to ESI Hospital where he was declared ‘brought dead’. Jagdish also informed about this incident to his owner Anurag Kumar. Subsequently, a case of murder-cum-robbery was registered at P.S. Nand Nagri on the statement of Jagdish.

INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION

It was a blind murder-cum-robbery case and there was no clue about the identity of the accused persons. Local sources were deployed in the area of the police station as well as in the neighbouring police stations of U.P. It was revealed that a similar incident also took place in Saboli Industrial Area on 14.09.07 in which gang of Vipin Mavi was involved and gang leader Vipin was wanted in that case. It was also learnt from the local sources that on the day of this incident, Vipin was seen in that area. Efforts were made to trace the whereabouts of Vipin and his associates but they were found absconding from their known places. A raid was also conducted at the village of Vipin’s sister but he was not found present there.

On 21.11.07, a secret information was received that Vipin was present in the rent house of Narender @ Babloo at Loni. A raid was immediately conducted by the team of above mentioned police officers and Vipin along with Narender @ Balboo were apprehended. On sustained interrogation, Vipin confession to have committed the said case of murder-cum-robbery along with his associates. He also confessed to have committed another murder-cum-dacoity case of PS Nand Nagri reported on 14.9.07. On his instance, another accused Sunny @ Sachin was also apprehended and recovery i.e. looted purse was effected. The weapons of offence i.e. two knives were also recovered and 810 Kg. copper worth Rs.3 lacs which was robbed by them in the previous incident of robbery dated 14.9.07 was recovered.

Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to arrest the remaining accused and looted property.

(1) Vipin s/o Mahipal r/o Vill. Tila Shahbazpur, PS Loni, UP is 21 years old. He has studied upto 4th standard. He is unmarried and having one brother and one sister in the family. Earlier, he started a Jeans factory at Vill. Tila, Loni and due to heavy losses, he closed the factory and started committed crime. He is gang leader of Vipin Mavi Gang and previously involved in 15 cases of M.V. Theft, Snatching, Arms Act etc. in Delhi and U.P.

(2) Sunny @ Sachin s/o Ram Gopal r/o Vill. Tila Shahbazpur, PS Loni, UP is 21 years old. He has studied upto 8th standard. He is unmarried and having one brother and one sister in the family. He is an active associate of Vipin and previously involved in three cases of Arms Act in Delhi and U.P.

(3) Narender @ Babloo s/o Shiv Bhavan r/o 46/3, Gali No.4, Amit Vihar, Delhi is 20 years old. He has studied upto 5th standard. He is unmarried and having one sister in the family. Earlier, he worked as a labourer in different factories and soon he left this job and joined the gang of Vipin and started committing crime. He is previously involved in three cases of burglary, preparation of dacoity etc. in Delhi.
