Job Title: Business Development Manager
Job Summary: To manage the delivery and ongoing improvement of Gorgie City Farm’s existing and future social enterprises.
Responsible to: General Manager
Line Manages: Duty Manager, Event Staff
Salary Grade: D - £25,000 (Pay Review Pending) + 6% Employer Pensionary Contribution
Principal Responsibilities:
· Support and develop models of reporting on the social impact of our Enterprise activity
· Ensure excellence in all service delivery by promoting a culture of continuous improvement and best practice
· Ensure clear, professional and consistent service management through the use of robust policies and procedures
· Deliver a substantial net increase in commercial income from Gorgie City Farm’s Social Enterprises and other specified services and activities
· Have overall accountability for Enterprise budgets
· Work with the Development & Fundraising Manager to ensure we secure sufficient funds to cover the operating and development costs of each Enterprise
· Oversee sales and Marketing activity for all Social Enterprises
· Work with the General Manager to improve the marketing of products and services, and raise the positive profile of Gorgie City Farm with all key stakeholders
· Work with colleagues to ensure Enterprises are integrated with the organisation’s other services and projects, to maximise opportunities to achieve our charitable objectives
· Act as Deputy for the General Manager
· Any other duties as are reasonably required
