DURING NATIONAL AFV DAY ODYSSEY
When: Wednesday, October 8 from 8:30 a.m. – noon.
Where: Onondaga Community College, Whitney Applied Technology Center Atrium and Room W101.
What: National Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Day Odyssey 2008
· Event showcases benefits of AFVs and clean air
· Demonstrations of AFVs, clean diesel technology and air quality
· Ride and drive demonstrations from 11 – 11:30 a.m.
· Tour of Automotive Technology department facilities
· “National AFV Day Odyssey” is held simultaneously at more than 80 locations throughout the country.

This event is sponsored by the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium, a group of 29 higher education institutions nationwide, including Onondaga Community College, dedicated to educating technicians and the public about clean, cost-effective vehicles that use alternative fuels. The local event is co-sponsored by Clean Communities of Central New York.
