Job Title: Graduate Tutor – Physiotherapy

Fixed Term for 2 years, with possible extension for a further 3 years

1. PURPOSE OF THE POST

To support teaching and research activity within the Department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation

2. RESPONSIBLE TO

Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, through the Head of Department

3. MAIN DUTIES

·  Running seminars, workshops, tutorials and practicals

·  Giving lectures where appropriate support is provided

·  Supporting the Department’s teaching programmes, distance learning, research and consultancy activities as appropriate.

·  Undertaking administrative duties commensurate with the role.

·  Engaging in a doctoral study programme.

4. LOCATION

This post is based at the University’s City campus, with requisite to work from and / or travel to other University premises and external organisations as required. The role may involve off campus activity, for example supporting the physiotherapy curriculum implementation in practice locations.

5. HOURS OF ATTENDANCE

37 hours per week. The job requires attendance where necessary at any of the University’s teaching sites. A typical workload may exceptionally include weekday, evening classes or weekend short course work / open day activities.
