We are in preparation mode forthe summer ministries that are just around the corner. We want to share the Gospel with as many children as possible. We trust the Lord that many children will make a life changing decision to accept Jesus as their Saviour.
Miss Miriam Shea is returning to serve as a Summer Missionary and her brother, Sam Shea, will be the second member of the team. We are blessed to have them this summer.
In just a few weeks they, along with 40 other students, will be attending Summer Missionary School to be trained in this year’s material.In the two weeks of intense training they will receive 53 hours of instruction. They will have 18 hours of study halls in preparation for the 13 hours of evaluations and practice demonstrations. During the second week of Training School they will actually be conducting a 5-Day Club in the area where the School is held.
Our immediate need is to raise $ 1,390.00 by May 25th to cover the cost of Summer Missionary Training School.The cost includes the training, lodging, meals and teaching material they will need this summer.The two weeks of Summer Missionary Training School will be June 12-25.
If you would like to help with this expense, please use the attached form and mark “Summer Ministry Need”. If you would like to give towards Miriam’s or Sam’s support, you may do that, using the form as well. Do not make the check out to them but to “CEF of Adams Co”so that we can provide you with a receipt for your gift.
Enclosed you will find a prayer card for this summer. May I encourage you to use it and to pray for Miss Miriam and Mr. Sam along with this ministry as the Gospel is shared with children?
I am still looking for locations to hold 5-Day Clubs. The Clubs only take one hour a day for one week. You need only to provide a location and invite the children. Miss Miriam and Mr. Sam will teachthe Club.
The Clubs are for Christian children as well as non-Christians. If you cannot host a Club, do you know some who might be able to? Why not ask them, as it could make a difference for eternity for a child.
We will again be holding two Soccer Camps. Our first camp will be the week of July 18 at Cross Keys Fellowship Church from 9:00 until noon. The second camp will be held the week of August 8 at Bethel Mennonite Church from 6:00 until 9:00 each evening.
In each camp the children will not only learn soccer skills but they will also be taught a Bible lesson and a Bible Memory Verse. The Zip & Zap game (a favorite of many of the children) will be played.
The camps are for children entering 2nd grade through those entering 6th grade. Registration is necessary. Please use the enclosed form to request a brochure and a registration form. The camp fee is only $20.00.
We are excited about our Good News Creation Day Camp. The camp will be the week of July 25 and run 9:30am until 2:00pm each day. This camp will be held at Cross Keys Fellowship Church. This year the theme is “God’s Power.”
There will be Bible lessons, games and activities, all focused onGod’s creation. This year the campers will be making small electric motors.
The cost for this camp is also $20.00. Please use the enclosed form to request a brochure and a registration form. This camp is for children entering 3rd grade through those entering 6th grade.
As you can see, we have a busy, full summer scheduled so that we can touch the lives of as many children as possible. We are blessed to have these programs. I would ask you to pray for each of us and each program as we minister this summer.
Also pray for the children who will attend. Pray that they will come with open hearts for the truths and love that will be shared. Thank you.
