Game Notes:

·  AWC scored in the fourth inning without a hit. The Mats loaded the bases before Franky Chavez hit a sacrifice fly to left field for a 1-0 lead.

·  In the sixth inning, the Mats loaded the bases again, this time with two outs. Najee Gaskins singled to plate two, and then Landon Riker scored two more with a double for a 5-0 lead.

·  Eric Ligda was strong on the mound for the Mats and went the distance. He only allowed five hits without a walk while striking out five.

Game Notes:

·  Brody Kato gave the Matadors the lead in the second inning. He blasted a two-run home run, his third homer of the season, to put AWC up 2-0.

·  After Najee Gaskins tripled and Snaider Torrealba walked, a wild pitch scored Gaskins and send Torrealba to third. Daniel Lafarga hit an RBI groundout to score Torrealba for a 4-0 lead in the third inning.

·  In the fifth inning, Noah Cordova hit a solo home run for Chandler-Gilbert.

·  In the seventh inning, Gaskins walked and went to second on a wild pitch. Landon Riker doubled him home. After a wild pitch sent Riker to third, Torrealba whacked a double to push the lead to 6-1. Lafarga then doubled home Torrealba for a 7-1 lead.

·  In the bottom of the seventh, Chandler-Gilbert loaded the bases, and Nick Daley hit a sacrifice fly to center field to cut the lead to 7-2.

·  CGCC rallied in the ninth to plate two more runs. Daley reached on an error with two outs. He stole second and went to third on a wild pitch before Tyler Jorgensen singled him home. Rainer Ausmus singled to put runners on first and second, and Zach Hardy knocked Jorgensen in with a single to cut the lead to 7-4.

·  Brody Kato pitched well to pick up the win for AWC. He went seven innings while only allowing two runs on six hits and three walks. He struck out eight. Fabian Muniz came on in relief to start the eighth inning, and he allowed two runs on four hits in 1.2 innings. Jayden Murray allowed two hits while recording the final out for AWC.
