Minutes: The April minutes were accepted as written.
Agenda: The May agenda was accepted as written.
Old Business: - April 30th Day of Reflection: 24+ people; evaluations were mostly positive.
- Stewardship: volunteers are needed for the Ministry Fair and to give a presentation during the homily time at the May 6-7 masses.
- Re-Ignite: at St. Mike’s; low turnout but still a good experience; maybe pinpoint different groups to attend in the future, i.e. First Communion, children, etc.
- St. Jan’s 5 K: lower turnout than usual, but many conflicts.
- Ministry Fair: plans are set; need people to staff displays; need to emphasize need for communications, Eucharistic ministers.
- Parish Council elections: June is end of year meeting.
- Pastoral Plan: work on revisions during the summer.
Seven Elements: - Evangelization: working on the next Re-Ignite the Night - May 31 at St. Jan’s.
- Communication: a work in progress.
New Business: - Perhaps instead of Parish-wide event, we should emphasize Parish Pride.
Pastor Comments: - The 60-day time period to object to the Vatican’s upholding the relegation of St. Mary’s ends mid to end of May.
- Fr. Leo thanked members of the Parish Pastoral Council for their hard work this year, especially in the area of stewardship.
Standing Reports: - St. Jan’s: Tim Hebding’s Mass of Thanksgiving is May 28 at St. Jan’s. He will be ordained as a deacon on May 27.
- St. Mike’s: Encourage kids to help with the Office for the Aging bus pickup; pizza night for the 5th grade trip was very successful.
- St. Pat’s: from the Care of the Community meeting - a booklet on procedures is being developed.
Meeting ended at 8 p.m. with a prayer.
Next meeting is Monday, June 19 at 7 p.m. at St. Mike’s.
