New School Newspaper
Keep an eye out for the new Castlepollard Community College Newspaper, Cionn Talk which was launched this term. Editor Nicole Gallegos and team put together a very fine first issue. Especially interesting was the Vox Pop regarding homework. Not surprising the teachers and the students had slightly different opinions concerning the matter. Faculty adviser Mr Jordan was pleased with the final product and with the high degree of student motivation and interest. Any students who wish to participate may do so by contacting Mr Jordan or Nicole Gallegos.

So make sure you get cards back in time for the draw which will be held at break on Wednesday 23rd December. To help students and staff get into the Christmas spirit we are also holding a Christmas Jumper/Hat day just before the end of term (date to be confirmed) for a mere €2 per student. Finally we would like to invite you to take part in “Christmas Jingle” which is the ideal opportunity to clear your ashtrays, pots and pockets of those 1, 2 and 5 cents that have been hanging around. The shops may not want them anymore but we certainly do. We are hoping to keep the collection going for a few months so keep saving your coins.
