General Information
VARIOPLOTTER is a Flat Bed Plotter for Sample Making with an Option for Pertinax Counter Milling.
Bridge of VARIOPLOTTER
VARIOPLOTTER as basic Machine is available with a Tool Head for Sample Cutting of Corrugated and Folding Carton. Optionally the Machine can be equipped with a Multi Head for Sample Making and Milling for the production of Pertinax Counters.
Tool Head with Tool Exchanger, 4 Tools
The Machine has been manufactured with high quality modules. The design has been optimized with respect to tension caused by thermal stress and vibration. The Control System is from Germany and the Machine is equipped with RSAS, a Remote Service and Analyzing System for quick customer Support in the case of any problems.

The Sample Making Tool is equipped with an automatic Tool Exchanger. In the basic Configuration, the Tool Exchanger has 4 Positions which can be equipped in a flexible way. That means the Operator can either insert 1 Cutting Tool, 1 Creasing Tool and 2 Pens or also 2 Cutting Tools (one for Corrugated the other for Folding Carton) and 2 Creasing Tools (1 for Corrugated the second one for Folding Carton).
The Operator is completely free in choosing the Tools. Which kind of Tools are inside the Tool Exchanger are entered into a Data Base ( Tool List )
The Amount of Tool Positions can be extended by 4, 8,… etc. The Extension can be retrofit any time. Software can be updated by Remote Control.
Laser Cross
In order to make it easier for the Operator to find the Starting Point of where to start the Process, the Tool Head is equipped with a Laser Cross which is used to find the Position.
Oscillation Function
The Tool Head includes an Oscillation Function which is automatically switched on and off during the Process. The Control of activating the Oscillation Function is done through the integrated Data Base. Processing Corrugated automatically activates the Oscillation Function.
The Oscillation Function is controlled by an integrated 24V DC Motor

Tool Exchanger
The Tool Head is equipped with an automatic Tool Exchanger. The Tool Exchanger is controlled pneumatically and locks the Tools in a defined Position.
The tool Head is fixed to a controlled z axis.
Automatic Tool Measurement
The Tools are measured in an automatic Sub Program. This avoids any manual adjustment of the plotter Head.

VARIOPLOT with optional Milling Tool Head with Tool Exchanger and Channel Depth Control
The Milling Tool Head for Pertinax Counters is equipped with a High Frequency Spindle with maximum 60000 RPM. The Tool Head is equipped with a quick lock mechanism exchanging automatically the tools. The Tools are positioned in a separate Tool Holder fixed at the Machine Frame. The basic machine is equipped with 4 Tool Positions, which can be extended. For the control of the Channel Depth, a sensor with accurate Measurement is integrated.
Pertinax Counter manufactured with VARIOPLOT, Option
In order to produce Stripping Tools, a simple Milling Tool without Height Sensor can be used.
Box Development and Short Runs
Machine Technology
The machine is built up on a rigid, welded Steel Frame.
For Movements, precise Linear Guiding from HIWIN with Rack and Pinion from HERION, Germany are used.
The design guarantees a high dynamic of the system with linear Movements up to 120 m/min.
The Bridge is designed with a profile of high strength and rigidity.
The Moving Bridge contains all the motors for x, y and z movement. The Motor for x movement is combined with the tool head fixation which is connected to the z-axis. The Motor for y Axis is fixed at the Backside Centre of the Bridge and transmits the Power by Shaft to the Rack and Pinion alongside the y Axis of the Machine.
RSAS and SWC
Remote Service and Analysing System RSAS has the advantage of immediate support via internet connection.
VARIOPLOTTER is delivered also with a camera System which provides the possibilityof visual inspection over big distances.
