Bank of India invites Tender from reputed Printers for printing of its calendars for the year 2015 as per the details given hereunder and subject to terms and conditions given in the Tender Document and Annexure I.
2.Blank tender copies will be available at Bank of India, Publicity & Public Relations Department, Head office, STAR House, C-5, “G” Block, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East) on payment of `. 5,000/- by pay order only.

4. Superscribe enquiry (tender) number and due date over envelope and submit with full address.
5. Envelope No.1 to contain technical aspect of tenderer alongwith Earnest Money Deposit and the application money. Envelope No. 2 should contain only Price Bid. Covers to be clearly marked accordingly. The Earnest Money Deposit of `.2,00,000/- by Demand Draft/Payorder on any Nationalised Bank in favour of Bank of India and payable at Mumbai should be submitted along with the tender.
6.The Bank is not bound to accept the lowest tender and reserves the right to reject any or all tenders, either in whole or in part, without assigning any reason for doing so.
7. All other terms and conditions as per Tender Document and Annexure I.
8. The Printers having their printing press in Mumbai ONLY will be considered.
9. Tender should be dropped on or before 05.08.2014 by 3.00 p.m.

Envelope No. 1 – to contain technical aspect of Tenders only and will be opened within eight days from the last date of submission of tender at Star House, Bandra-Kurla Complex. Envelopes No. 2 of only those tenderers who qualifies as per the technical aspects required by the Bank, will be opened at a later date, to be intimated to them separately. INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS
1Applicants are required to have handled single printing job work of minimum `.75/- lakhs and should have had annual turnover of `.12 crore and above for the past 3 years.
2Intending Applicants are required to submit their applications in Duplicate withfull bio-data giving details about their organisation, experience, technical personnel in their organisation, spare capacity, competence and adequate evidence of their financial standing, etc. in the enclosed form which will be kept confidential.
3While deciding upon the selection of printers, emphasis will be given on the ability and competence of applicants to do good quality works within the specified time schedule. Only those bidders satisfying the minimum technical standards as required by the bank will be considered for financial bidding.
4Decision of the Bank in regard to qualification of printer for opening of financial bid will be final. The Bank is not bound to assign any reason therefor.
5 Each page of the application shall be signed. The application shall be signed by person/persons on behalf of the organisation having necessary authorisation /Power of Attorney to do so.
6If the space in the proforma is insufficient for furnishing full details, such information may be supplemented on separate sheets of paper, stating therein the part of the proforma and serial number. Separate sheets shall be used for each part.
7Any letter or document accompanying the qualification form shall be submitted in duplicate.
8Applications containing false and/or inadequate information are liable for rejection.
9While filling up the application with regard to the list of important assignments completed or on hand, the applicants shall include only works relating to commercial/institutional/orders costing above `.75 lakhs.
10The criteria for selection will be decided by the Bank depending on the response to this notice and Bank’s decision in this regard shall be final. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.

ANNEXURE – I
OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Tender with counter conditions will not be entertained.
- Your Tender should be submitted in two envelopes :
Envelope No. 1 : To contain technical profile of tenderer and Earnest
Money Deposit with application money
Envelope No. 2 : To contain Financial Bid
Application not satisfying the minimum technical standards specified by the Bank are not liable to be considered for financial bidding.
3.Your tender should be valid for at least 30 days from the due date specified. Quotation should be for labour charges inclusive of all other charges viz. Insurance, taxes, etc. and quotation should be signed by authorized signatory/ agent with stamp/seal of the Firm/Company.
- It may be noted that once the order is accepted, you will be bound to execute it within the period specified and no request for increase in rate subsequently nor any excuse for not executing the order on account of non-availability of paper will be entertained. We shall not pay any advance to you against our order, if, any, placed with you.
- The rate should be quoted for the item/items as per the specifications mentioned in our enquiry / as per the specimen.
- After the delivery of the calendars if it is discovered that the material supplied/used, is not exactly according to our specification/quality stipulated, such supply will be rejected at the suppliers’ cost.
- In case of failure/delays in supplies fully or partially the Bank is at liberty to get the same printed through other sources at its sole discretion and the difference in cost, if any, will be recoverable from defaulting party.
- Printed material must be properly delivered locally as per our instruction.
- The Bank need not necessarily accept the lowest tender and the decision of the Bank in this regard will be final. Bank reserves the right to ask for the Bank (performance) guarantee, for the proper execution of the order

- Printers who do not effect delivery of the calendars within the prerscribed time will be liable for all damages/detriment or losses to the Bank and in case, despite warning, they continue to be late in deliveries, they will forfeit all rights to claim any payment from the bank and may be disqualified for further inquiries/entrustment of work. No charges will be payable by the bank for calendars delivered at Mumbai.
- The paper is required to be purchased in Bank’s name as per order, and such purchases should be at net mill rates, plus taxes applicable and the quantity required for each item should be correctly estimated, as otherwise the tender may not be accepted or if accepted inadvertently, the excess should be made good to the Bank by the printer concerned. The suppliers will be paid directly on the strength of the printer’s acknowledgement of having received the paper. The printer will be required to insure the paper lying in his possession for adequate amount and all risks.
- The printer will have to keep an earnest money deposit of `.2.00 lakh with the Bank by way of Demand Draft/Pay Order favouring Bank of India to ensure timely and proper execution of the order. This amount is payable by pay order at the time of submitting the tender. The amount will be returned to the unsuccessful tenderer within a week from the date of opening the tenders and to the successful tenderer after final despatch of the calendars.
- Tender in closed covers for calendars, should mention separately the :
a)Rate, quantity and cost of paper (inclusive of all taxes and incidentals till it reaches your press).
b)Cost of printing of calendars. (cost should include packing and delivery charges).
- Please also note that calendars are required to be delivered to the Bank’s
Head Office/ Official courier at Mumbai within 15 days of the issuance of the bank’s order. Octroi charges if any are to be borne by the printer.
15.This letter is neither an order nor an assurance to award the job to you. The Bank reserves its right to reject any or all the estimates received without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
16. TheBank shall be entitled to split up the order/supplies mentioned in the enquiry and the tender shall be deemed to be accepted only for supplies as may be ordered from time to time by placing a regular order.
