It’s time for the Spring Book Club!! Yeah!! Book Club groups will meet once a month for 30 minutes after school in the library to discuss the pre-selected book. Students will discuss the story elements as well as vocabulary words and receive additional activities or other reading suggestions. A donation of $15 per participant is requested to help cover the cost of books and students are permitted to keep the books or give them to their teachers for their classroom libraries. Please send a separate check and separate sheet for each child, as we will be picking names by lottery system and cannot guarantee siblings will all get in. (Additional forms may be found on the PTA website.)
Each session is limited to 19 students per group and a lottery will be held if over 19 students request membership. As with all after school clubs, transportation will not be provided. Please pick up your child at 3:15p.m. They are not permitted to walk home. (If your child is in CASA, we will be happy to accompany them to CASA after the session.)

Please note that the 4th and 5th group needs an adult discussion group leader in order to hold this group. Please let the book club coordinator know ASAP if you can assist! Also, we need parent volunteers for the clubs for grades K/1 and 2/3. If you can volunteer, please let me know. Contact Sherry Zamora at r 703-307-0431 cell for additional information.
