Basic principles for managing the media ranging from what is news and the importance of working with the media to media interaction guidelines. This informative course will provide the basic skills needed to successfully prepare for interacting with the media.

Class will be from 9:00 – 1:00 on December 9, 2015 at the CATE Center, 916 Mt. Vernon Church Rd, Chapin, SC. (Take Exit 91 on Hwy 176 towards Peak, SC. Turn left onto Mt. Vernon Church Rd.

To Register Through NAPT: Visit the PDS registration link by going to and click on the “Event Registration” tab from the NAPT home page. Please read through the registration details. When ready to purchase the PDS credit and certificate you may click on “Register for this Event” at the bottom of the page and follow all prompts to register.

For NAPT Members: All individuals who currently have a NAPT membership or profile in our system may login using their information. If you are unsure of your login or would like to check and see if you have a profile established in the NAPT system, please contact NAPT at 800-989-6278.

For non NAPT members or website visitors: If you are not a NAPT member or do not have a profile setup in the database, please click the link “New Visitor Registration” on the login page and proceed with entering your contact information. The non-member fee for PDS course credit and course completion certificates are $50/course. If a non NAPT member would like to receive the NAPT member pricing of $20/course, they may first purchase NAPT membership via the Online Store and then proceed with the PDS registration to receive the reduced pricing. For districts with more than one individual joining NAPT, please consider joining under the Group Membership option. This membership allows each individual to receive NAPT Individual Membership benefits at a reduced pricing.
