Welcome to Gold Country Irish Dance Boosters (“GCIDB”). This tax-exempt, independent corporationwas founded with the mission of sharing the joy of Irish dance with the Northern California community, promote its teaching, and support its students and instructors with fundraising, equipment management, exhibitions and competitions. The dancers can get community service hours for each community-facing activity completed with GCIDB(i.e. dancing exhibitions) and with volunteering for performances with their dance school. Exhibitions are generally limited to senior living centers, private clubs and schools. Most performances at public events, such as fairs, festivals or shopping centers, are done by a specific dance school and at a teacher’s request.
MEMBERSHIP: GCIDB has two levels of membership. General and Participating.
General Membership - All enrolled students and their families at a Kennelly School of Irish dance are automatically eligible for General Membershipin the Boosters.
Participating Membership ($30 fee for lifetime or $15 for 2 years and 12 hours volunteer time) – Any General member may upgrade to Participating member at any time by paying the Participating fee, either with direct payment or in profit from their first family fundraising activity of the year. Participating Members have access to individual fundraising through GCIDB, the profits of which may be used for team costumes or dance supply expenses. Additionally, Participating Membersmust serve a minimum of 12 volunteer hours per year, per family, and may participate on the GCIDB board or committees,supervise exhibitions, assist with fundraising, coordinate community service awards, etc. in order to meet this requirement. Participating Members alsoget discounts for GCIDB workshops and activities, and are eligible to apply for Dance Ambassador stipends (budget and board approval depending) that can defray expenses for guest artist workshops and national/worlds competition travel.

☐ I acknowledge on behalf of my family, that we have had the opportunity to review the current Organizational Documents (Articles, Bylaws, etc) of the GOLD COUNTRY IRISH DANCE BOOSTERS, Inc., a California nonprofit community benefit organization, and agree to abide by the conditions of membership set forth in those documents. Furthermore, we agree to be bound by the Confidentiality Operating Rule that states in part that we will not disclose any financial or organizational information at any time to any person who is not a Member of the GCIDB. Violators of the Confidentiality Operating Rule may be removed from the Membership of GCIDB. Such removal may result in the forfeiture of any individual fundraising funds, as well as removal of other membership benefits, at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors per Section 3.10 of the Bylaws and the Operating Rule mentioned above. This agreement may be executed by way of electronic signature, and if so, shall be considered an original.
