Debbie O’Brien / 4th-5th / The Robotics Team (BrickMasters) is a group of 10 kids that compete in the FIRST Lego League. Competitions are composed of four sections: Project, Missions, Robot Design, and Core Values. The Project requires students to research, identify a problem, create a solution, and prepare a presentation. Missions requires students to program and run a robot to complete different tasks. Robot Design requires documentation of how the robot was built and another presentation. Core Values is the heart of the program and stresses cooperation within the team and among competitors. Students from 4th and 5th grade are selected with try-outs and must be strong in all four areas. / Both

Meeting once a week, your 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade child will use the engineering design process, problem-solving, researching, studying, and team building skills, as they learn and study 2 of the 18 events....plus, it's fun! / Both

Not only does this student work hard to display and promote the RedHawk Expectations, but he/she also works hard to engage his/her community through initiatives that promote a culture of caring. Any 3rd-5th grader who has a desire to make a positive difference in our school and community has the opportunity to apply to be part of this group of student leaders. Student Ambassadors are able to fulfill this leadership role at school by organizing, planning, and coordinating service projects that promote the development of positive character school-wide with school personnel. / Application with Recommendations
Technology Competition Team / Stephanie Gauthia / 3rd-5th / Students work on technology related projects for regional Technology Fair. All interested participants submit project which are evaluated. Participants with projects that meet criteria are invited to join the team that will represent Clark Creek. / Both
Yearbook / Heather Ivers / 5th / Fifth grade students will assist in creating the yearbook for 2017-2018 for Clark Creek STEM Academy using the online program through Herff Jones. They will also take pictures for the yearbook as well as make commercials to play during morning news. / Application
