THE COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION

To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (H.3327) to request that the Department of Transportation name the portion of South Carolina Highway 28 in McCormick County starting from its intersection with Brewer Road to its intersection, etc., respectfully

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

ACONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO REQUEST THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NAME THE PORTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 28 IN MCCORMICK COUNTY STARTING FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH BREWER ROAD TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH RANDOLPH HAMPTON ROAD “DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. MEMORIAL HIGHWAY” AND ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ALONG THIS PORTION OF HIGHWAY THAT CONTAIN THE WORDS “DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. MEMORIAL HIGHWAY”.

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina request that the Department of Transportation name the portion of South Carolina Highway 28 in McCormick County starting from its intersection with Brewer Road to its intersection with Randolph Hampton Road “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Highway” and erect appropriate markers or signs along this portion of highway that contain the words “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Highway”.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
