TIM DIPASQUA

Actor/singer/songwriter/composer/lyricist Tim Di Pasqua is a native of San Francisco and has been award the Backstage Bistro Award four times; Outstanding Singer/Songwriter, Outstanding Cabaret Event for Purpose of Love – A Tim Di Pasqua Songbook, Outstanding Song of the Year, Outstanding Musical Groupfor Southern Comfort along with Tom Andersen and Scott Coulter, which also won them a 2007 New York NightlifeAward for Outstanding Revue/Group/Variety Performance.

As an actor, Tim received a B.A. in drama from San FranciscoStateUniversity and studied with Jean Shelton and The Acting Studio in San Francisco. Tim received his Actor’s Equity card upon graduation from college in 1984.

As a solo artist Tim has performed in all the major clubs and halls in New York City including; The Bitter End, The Russian Tea Room, Town Hall, Carnegie Hall, Caroline’s Comedy Club, The Metropolitan Room, The Laurie Beechman Theater, The Village Gate, Birdland, Tavern on the Green, and Sardi’s. Tim started his musical career singing and performing to packed houses five nights a week at the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco. Tim presented his songbook concerts in New York as a benefit for BroadwayCare/EquityFightsAIDS and in San Francisco benefiting breast cancer research. Tim has appeared at Carnegie Hall with Michael Feinstein celebrating the songs of Sammy Cahn. Tim also served as vocalist and accompanist for Oscar and Grammy award-winning composer Stephen Schwartz in his Stephen Schwartz & Friends concert series. In addition, Tim has performed with Carol Hall ( The best little whorehouse in Texas) and appears on her recording Hallways, The Songs of Carol Hall, singing War on Christmas Day.

As a songwriter, Tim has written and recorded four cds including his solo debut Monsterunder these conditions, Purpose of love-A Tim Di Pasqua Songbook, and the original cast recording of his musical Synchronicity. His songs, including YOU, MAYBE YOUDIDN’T HEAR ME, THE BEST THAT I CAN DO, I WANT TO GO HOME, ONE THING, BIG HAIRY MAN, and WHAT DO I KNOW? have been performed and recorded by artists all over the globe.

Tim is also one of the founding members of Third Eye Theatre Co.
