DRAFT Minutes for October 13, 2009 and preliminary agenda for March 9, 2010

Treasurer report by Bill Haubert was approved. 2009 dues are 82% paid.
Report on playground equipment updates – Scott Ronan received two sample pieces for foundation replacement . He will obtain two different pieces to use on the playground foundation.
Update on Jason Bass progress in removing an obsolete homeowner’s liens, by Rich Sickon. Rich will print out the appropriate letter for two lien removals and have them notarized October 14. Look for the sequel to this saga at our next board meeting.
Additional progress concerning delinquent dues. For delinquent 2009 dues, Bill Haubert and Scott Ronan will call all affected households. Donna Carrion will assist with door to door contacts, if phone numbers are not available. Courtesy calls concerning delinquent 2008 dues were completed by Scott Ronan. Names of homeowners with delinquent dues from 2008 and previous years will be compiled by Bill Haubert, along with pertinent details, and turned over to Mike Homant. Mike volunteered to find a collections agency to collect these dues.
Feedback from September 26 picnic. Jeff Chinoski and Bill Haubert did an outstanding job! Thanks also go to our dunk tank volunteers, Scott Ronan and Rich Sickon. The dunk tank raised $120.00 for charity. We will change suppliers of the port-a-potty next year to improve quality.
How do we proceed with completion of homeowner voting to enable changes to bylaws? Note that we must have 75% of homeowners voting on any proposal to affect a change. We are not quite there, yet. Jeff Chinoski compiled and distributed a spreadsheet of current voters as of Sept. 17, 2009. The board members will conduct a door to door canvass of all homeowners that have not yet voted. Rich Sickon will email a summary of proposed bylaw changes, along with current bylaws and a ballot, to the canvassers. Rich Sickon, Scott Ronan and Jeff Chinoski will canvass Stonetree; Bill Haubert and Candace Duda will canvass Silvervale; Donna Carrion will canvass Fordcroft and ½ Shellbourne; Jeff Chinowski will canvass the remainder of Shellbourne. Please send all additional votes to Gordon Duda for compilation.
Storm drain grate and anti-erosion rocks. Progress report by Rich Sickon was too brief to capture in the minutes. We will address this again at a future meeting.
Discuss progress for an updated neighborhood phone directory, by Gordon Duda. Frank Sonye has agreed to update the Directory. The board decided to wait for a few months to collect any remaining updates along with outstanding dues.
Discuss request to add ‘hood businesses to newsletter/website, by Gordon Duda. The board approved free advertising by neighbourhood business owners on our website.
New Business:
Donna Carrion reported a tree house built in the North woods. Scott Ronan and Bill Haubert will investigate this weekend and post a “Please remove in 30 days” sign.
