Self Service Registration

This guide outlines the process for students to add classes through self service

Directions to navigate to your Student Center:

1) / Select “add a class”
1) / If you do not know the class number that you would like to add select the search button to see a complete listing of available classes.
2) / If you do know the class number, enter it in the box highlighted above and select the green enter button.
1) / You can search by subject only or if you know the precise course as the example shows you can enter both the subject and course number.
2) / If the “show open classes only” button is left checked only courses that are available for registration will return in your search.
3) / If you would like to search for classes specifically by instructor, days of the week, etc. select “additional search criteria” and you can narrow your search even further.
1) / You can select the section hyperlink to display more information regarding the class you are viewing.
2) / If the class displayed is desired then push the button to add it to your shopping cart
3) / If you would like to search for other classes instead push the button.
1) / If the class requires a permission number (classes added during the add/drop period or classes requiring instructor or departmental consent) please place the required permission number in the highlighted box above.
2) / Make sure to review any class notes
3) / Select the button to continue adding the desired class.
1) / Now your class has been added to your shopping cart. You can search for additional classes or you can proceed to checkout by selecting
1) / After you are through filling your shopping cart select button
1) / Your Done! Please review any messages and check your status to determine if the class was added successfully.
To search by Course Attribute Value (example: BB, CC, DD):
1) / Leave the "Course Subject" blank.
2) / Leave "Course Number" set to "is exactly" and leave the number field blank.
3) / Check the "Show Open Classes Only" checkbox.
4) / And click the "Additional Search Criteria" link.
5) / In the "Course Attribute" field, type the code:
GERQ
6) / Click the magnifying glass icon, next to the "Course Attribute Value" field, to display all possible values.
1.  From the "Look Up Course Attribute Value" table, click the link for the value you want to search (example: BB, CC, DD).
2.  You will be returned to the Class Search Criteria page and the code you clicked will show in the "Course Attribute Value" field.
7) / Click the "Search" button.
When your search results are displayed, if you click on the "Section" number link for a class,

you will see the Course Attribute in the "ENROLLMENT INFORMATION" section of the class details.
