Consignment Contract
Welcome! Thank you for your decision to consign with us. Below is a description of our consignment policies and procedures.
____1. Clothing consignments will be accepted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10:30-3:30. We accept up to 30 items per drop off, one time per week. (sets count as 1 item). Non-seasonal items, such as toys, DVDs, books, furniture and children’s accessories can be dropped off at any time. Please call for an appointment if you are unable to come during these hours.
____2. If you choose to have your unaccepted items returned, you must wait for them at the time of drop off. All items must be clean, fully working, and have all components including batteries.
____3. There will be a $5.00 one time per season (Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter) consignment fee collected at the time of drop off. This payment must be in the form of cash or check.
____4. The price of an item will be set by Pea Soup unless otherwise discussed at the time of drop off. Once the item sells, the system will automatically credit the consigner’s account 50% of the sales price.
____5. All items will be kept for 90 days. At the end of 90 days any unsold items may be picked up by the consigner. Any items not picked up within 7 days of expiration date will become property of Pea Soup For Kids. At time of drop off, Pea Soup will provide a consignment receipt and it will then be the responsibility of the consigner to remember the contract expiration date.
____6. After 30, 60 and 90 days, 20-50% markdowns will be applied. All clothing, toys, and accessory merchandise are subject to these sales unless otherwise discussed. Pea Soup further reserves the right to negotiate interim price markdowns on all merchandise within reason.
____7. Consigner checks are written every Friday. Check requests received by Wednesday will be cut the following Friday. All checks must be picked up within 30 days of the check date, or the check will be voided and a new check request must be made. ($10 reissue fee will apply) Checks may be mailed upon request for a $1.00 fee.
____8. Accounts will be closed after 18 months of inactivity and all monies/merchandise will be forfeited.
____9. Pea Soup will do the very best to safeguard consigned item. However, Pea Soup cannot be responsible for loss due to fire, theft, or other damages. All items are left at the owner’s risk.
