Call for oral abstracts

Call for Oral Presentation Abstracts:

The Haematology and Transfusion Science Advisory Body (HAB & TTSAB) invites Medical Scientists in the fields of Haematology and Blood Transfusion and related fields to submit an abstract proposal on an interesting case study for oral presentation at the upcoming Trauma 2018 conference. Selected presentations will be scheduled within the regular program of the conference. Presenters accepted for a talk are required to make the presentation themselves, and must register to attend the conference. The presentations should be no longer than 8 minutes.All short oral presentations will be reviewed on the day by our two UK presenters and the best case study presentation will receive a prize.

Guidelines

  1. Abstracts should be submitted in English and checked for grammar and spelling.
  2. All presenting authors must be able to present in fluent English to ensure clarity, timekeeping and handling of questions
  3. Abstract text (maximum 250 words)
  4. The title may not contain trade names.
  5. If off-label use of drugs was involved, please state this clearly.
  6. Your abstract should have a final diagnosis/conclusion.
  7. Submission to the TTSAB implies that ALL authors have read and reviewed the submission. All authors must be afforded an opportunity to review and comment on the submission in advance of the deadline.

Selection Criteria

The program committee will select the abstracts to be presented at the meeting considering relevance, interest, and value of the topic to conference attendees, and the likelihood that the case study will make an exciting and thought-provoking conference presentation.

Abstract Submission

There is no fee to submit an abstract. All abstracts must be submitted via email to: th the subject title AbstractTrauma 2018by 5pm Friday 16th February 2018.The abstract submission form is at the end of this document. By submitting an abstract, all submitting authors confirm the following statements: (1) I have read, understand, and agree to the guidelines; (2) I am submitting this abstract with the intent of attending the Trauma 2018 Conference and presenting; and (3) I confirm that each co-author has been informed of this abstract submission and has agreed to all information as it was submitted. Note: Authors who submit abstracts are not automatically registered for the meeting. In order to participate in the meeting and make your presentation, authors must register for the meeting, and cover the costs of hotel and travel.

Abstract Confirmation / Receipt

After you submit your abstract, we will send you a confirmation of receipt via email.

Reviewing and Programming

Complete abstracts received by the submission deadline will be reviewed by members of the Program Committee. Authors of accepted abstracts will benotified by Friday 23rdFebruary 2018 to confirm their participation to the meeting.
