Summer Program in Korean Language and Culture

The Institute of International Exchange & Education, Mokpo National University will hold the19th"Korean Language and Culture Training Program." We would like you to select students from your university that are interested in Korean language and culture.

The program is aimed at undergraduate students who are interested in learning Korean language and culture including lectures on Korean language and practical experience programs. Mokpo National University will bear the costs including accommodation, tuition and study tours except airfare.

We request you that you select students that are suitable for this program, according to the program deadlines, by the April 28. The number of students that we can accept from your university is given below.

Number of students to be accepted: 1 student

1) Period

* July 31, 2017～August 10, 2017

* The program will last 10 nights-and-11 days; partial participation will be granted.

2) Trainee

* 30 trainees in total (divide two classes)

3) Expense

* Mokpo National University will provide all expenses but fare of airline.

4) Training Program Running

* Korean Language Classes and all the lectures will be allotted by a 2-hour base.

* Korean Language Classes will be basic level.

Learning Korean Traditional Music in JinDo
Aug. 5 (Sat) / Experience 5 : Learning Korean Traditional Music in JinDo
Aug. 6 (Sun) / Exploring DamYang Area(Bamboo Place)
Aug. 7 (Mon) / Experience 6 :
Korean Traditional Culture Experience (Making Korean Traditional Food, Taking Hanbok,etc) / Let’s Learn Korean 5
Aug. 8 (Tue) / Let’s Learn Korean 6 / Experience 7 :
Canoeing and Tour in MOKPO city
Aug. 9 (Wed) / Experience 8:
The Art of Ceremonial Tea-making / Special Lecture: Understanding Korean Society
Understanding Other Countries’ Culture

* The program will be changed cause of unexpected events.

6) Application Due

* Application Due: No later than April 28, 2017
