Listed are vaccines that students should have for routine health maintenance:

Tetanus/Diphtheria/acellular Pertussis (Tdap) – every 10 years with a booster at 2 years after the last Td if an adult acellular Pertussis booster has never been received
MMR - total of 2 doses
Chickenpox - history of disease or series of 2 vaccinations
Influenza-yearly
Pneumonia-(if indicated)

Hepatitis B – series of 3 doses

Travel Clinic Consultation:

It is recommended that every student traveling abroad for their Discovery project have a formal Travel Clinic consultation if they will be working in any developing country. It is important for students not covered by the Emory Aetna Student Insurance Plan to check with their insurance company about travel consultation and immunization coverage. Most insurance plans have little or no coverage for these services. (see Travel Clinic link below for more information)

Emory Student Health Services Travel Clinic: The EUSHS Travel Clinic is the best option for students on the Emory Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan, since the consultation and all vaccinations are covered 100% under the plan with no co-payments or deductibles. The EUSHS Travel Clinic provides consultation and vaccinations for students preparing for international travel on a reduced fee-for-service basis. International travel consultations, including immunizations, travel prescriptions and country specific information, are available Monday - Friday by appointment only. Appointments should be scheduled at least two weeks prior to travel outside of the country, either via Your Patient Portal at https://www.shspnc.emory.edu/login_directory.aspx or by calling (404) 727-7551. TravelWell Clinic at Emory Midtown: Students who are not on the Emory Aetna Student Insurance Plan may seek care through the TravelWell Clinic located at 550 Peachtree St, Emory University Hospital Midtown, MOT 7th floor. Call (404) 686-5885 for further information and appointments. It is important to realize that at this and other private travel clinics payment is required up front and the individual would be responsible for submitting the claim form to their insurance company for reimbursement. The cost of a visit and immunizations average $400.
