Agency Signup
- Go to main page
- getconnected.unitedway-thurston.org
- Click on “Agency Signup”
- Fill out basic info, click “Submit”
- You will see a screen that says your agency is pending approval
- Admin will approve your agency once you have filled out full information – see below
- Log in with e-mail and password you entered earlier
- Click “My Profile” in orange bar along top of page
- On your profile, click “Select Agency to Manage” near top-right of page
- Will take you to Agency Manager screen for your organization
- After your agency is approved, you will see Agency Manager screen first when you log in
- Fill out agency information
- Address, contact info, website, Facebook, Twitter, map, etc.
- Under “Email Address,” enter address you want need responses and event RSVPs to be sent to
Does not need to be the same address entered to create user account
Make sure that messages from are not sent to your junk e-mail folder
- Under “Agency Directions,” insert link from Google Maps
- “Who We Are”“What We Do”
- You can copy/paste from your agency’s website or from a Word document
- Video
- Insert link from YouTube or other video site
- Categories
- Choose as many as are relevant to your agency and its work
- Logo
- CLICK “SUBMIT” WHEN DONE
- Complete agency information is important in helping potential volunteers learn about your organization and why they should serve with you
- Photos
- Click on “Manage Photos” tab, then “Upload Photos”
- Click “Submit” when done
- Photos will appear on your agency page
Agency Management
- Needs
- To post a volunteer position, click “Add New”
- Enter need title, description, age requirement, zip-code, need type, categories, date range, additional notifications
- Choose as many categories as are relevant to the position; potential volunteers will use categories to search for positions that interest them
- Click “Submit” when done
- You can go back and edit needs that you have already posted
- Events
- To post an event, click “Add New”
- Enter event title, description, start and end times, contact, location, enable/disable online RSVPs
- Click “Submit” when done
- You can edit events that you have already posted
- Time Tracking
- On Agency Manager screen, select “Time Tracking” tab
- You can approve or decline hours submitted by volunteers
- Or, you can add hours for your volunteers manually
- Select need and enter volunteer’s e-mail address
- Enter date, hours, and mileage
- Click “Add” to enter hours in system
Day of Caring & Group Projects (“Advanced Events”)
- For Day of Caring and other multi-agency community events, United Way will invite agencies to submit service projects online through Volunteer Connection, to be matched with teams from local workplaces, service organizations, and families
- When your agency is invited to Day of Caring, you will receive an e-mail which includes a link to a dashboard page
- You can also access this dashboard through your Agency Manager screen, by clicking the “Advanced Events” tab
- Answer any preliminary questions and click “Submit Application”
- You can thensubmit projects by clicking “Add Need.” Please be sure to fill out all the relevant information, including:
- Project title and description
- Primary contact name, phone, and e-mail
- Worksite address
- Number of volunteers needed
- Starting time and estimated duration of the project
- Answers to basic and supplemental questions
- Click “Submit” when done
