P-Votes Officer Application 2010
Thank you for your interest in being an officer of P-Votes. P-Votes is a non-partisan student organization that focuses on voter registration and get-out-the-vote efforts. We run several voter registration drives throughout the year, provide voter education materials before elections, and encourage members of the campus community to vote.

Essay: In no more than 250 words, please explain why you want to be a P-Votes officer and what qualifications you have for the position(s). Include any previous involvement you have had with P-Votes, as well as other relevant experience you have.
Officer Descriptions
Vice-President for Voter Registration: In charge of keeping track of all registration and absentee ballot forms, as well as spearheading the registration drives.
Vice-President for Voter Education: In charge of preparing education materials on candidates (and issues at stake in the election) for registration drives as well as Election Day. In past years, they have also organized forums with representatives from various campaigns.
Vice-President for Get Out the Vote: In charge of organizing signs and other directional aids for Election Day, as well as a GOTV drive on Election Day where we give out food and encourage people to go vote.Also organizes pre-Election Day GOTV efforts.
Treasurer: Organizes finances and applies for funding from the Projects Board.
Underclassmen Representatives: Liaison with the residential colleges.This position is traditionally filled by sophomores (current freshmen), however upperclassmen living in residential colleges are encouraged to apply as well.
Webmaster: In charge of maintaining the P-Votes website.
