LANCO has won the contract for construction and operation of two road projects in Karnataka, the 81 km Bangalore-Hoskote-Mudbagal stretch on National Highway 4 and the 82 km Neelamangla - Devihalli stretch on National Highway 48 on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase III.
The concession agreements for the projects have been signed with the National Highways Authority Ltd. The total project cost is estimated at Rs 1300 crores and involves six laning of 16 km stretch and four laning of the remaining stretches. The concession periods are 20 and 25 years for the two projects respectively, including 30 months of construction period. The contracts have been awarded through a competitive bidding process.
LANCO Infratech Limited / UPCL Project (2x 600MW Thermal Power Plant) – Udupi District - Karnataka / Aug’07’ to Aug ‘09’ / The Udupi Power Corporation Ltd, Karnataka, India an imported coal-based thermal power project, is being set up at a cost of Rs 43,420 million through a mix of debt and equity from a consortium of 14 banks and financial institutions led by the Power Finance Corporation Ltd. This is the first Independent Power Project in the country to operate on imported coal and also awarded a ‘mega project’ status. The project has obtained all clearances from various departments of both the Central Government and the State Government. While 90 per cent of the power will be supplied to Karnataka, the balance will be supplied to Punjab, for which necessary Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) have been made with the five Escoms/Discoms of Karnataka and Punjab State Electricity Boards respectively. Karnataka Escoms have provided a three-tier payment security consisting of Letter of Credit, Escrow and State Government guarantee. The project has already achieved financial closure and the construction work is under way. The project is expected to be commissioned by the last quarter of 2009. The tariff of the project is one of the most competitive in the industry as it has addressed issues of finalizing project cost, apart from firm prices of fuel for the initial period of five years from the date of commissioning.
Essar Constructions India Ltd / Adundra Sujalam Sufalam Spreading Canal Pipe Line Projects – Gujarat

For GWRDCL - Gandhinagar / Aug’05 to Aug’07. / The Project awarded to Essar Constructions India Limited by Gujarat Water resources development Corporation Limited is an EPC Contract to the Value of 120 Crores with the estimated project duration of 12 Months and 3 Years Operation & Maintenance. The Scope of Contractor involves construction of a semi – years automated pump house at the start point which can accommodate 7 Nos of 1500 KW vertical turbine pumps and further the work also involves laying 28 KMS of 2350 MM MS Pipe with necessary regulatory & surge control systems, allied civil works in pipe line and a sump at tail end. Safe & Timely transportation of 2350 MM x 12 Mts long bare MS Pipes from a distance of 60 KMS away from the pipe yard and also transport the finished pipes all along the alignment to reach the laying site.
Essar Constructions India Ltd / TWAD Board – Madurai / Aug 2002 to July 2005 / The Project awarded to Essar Constructions India Limited by TWAD Board – Tamil Nadu. An EPC Contractor to the Value of 75 Crores with the estimated project duration of 18 Months the nature of the Contract is turnkey with 1 year Operation and Maintenance. The Scope of the contract involves construction of a 32 MLD Water treatment Plant, reservoirs (elevated & underground) and allied distribution system (MS, PSC, AC, CI, PVC, DI and GI Pipes to a tune of 758 KMS drinking water distribution for Theni & Madurai districts. Was Site In-Charge responsible for crossing 60 meter of 2350 MM MS Pipe Ahmedabad – Meshana State High way road by Push through method ( Using Hydraulic Jacks)
Essar Constructions India Ltd / NHAI Road Project –Davangere, Karnataka. / April 2002 to July 2002 / The EPC Contract awarded to ESSAR Projects Limited by NHAI Bangalore involves making roads to a length to a 130 KMS to a contract value of 400 Crores.
