MINUTES OF THE VMC MEETING HELD ON 30th Oct 09
- AGENDA POINTS:
1.1 Report of the activities undertaken in the school.
1.2 Review of the previous meetings held on 6th Feb 2009 and action taken.
1.3 Proposal for important purchases and work to be undertaken.
1.4 Special occasions to be celebrated.
1.5 Reconstitution of VMC of K V Thane.
1.6 Any other point with the permission of the chair.
2. WELCOME:
Mrs Aruna Naik , the teacher member of VMC welcomed the chairman and VMC members.
3. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:-
3.1School held cluster level Social Science Exhibition and organized competitions like group song , group dance , debate hindi\english and collage making.
3.2 KV Thane secured 1st position in the regional level Youth Parliament organized at KV No.2 on 11th Sep 09.
3.3 Master Rajat Parmar class XIth secured 3rd position in National Science Exhibition organized by KVS.
3.4 Cluster/Regional/National level sports competition in TT , handball, volleyball and swimming was organized by KV Thane.
4. COUNSELLING SESSION:-
Counselling session was organized for class XI & XII on 29th Oct to provide counselling by inviting Mr. Parekh, the Psychologist and Counseller.
4.1 WORKSHOP:-
Principal conducted workshop for the entire staff stressing upon the need to improve the pronunciation and spoken English.
5.OTHER ACTIVITIES:
5.1 Preparing a school band.
5.2 Introduction of Newspaper in Education.
5.3 Organizing health checkup programs for both the shifts.
5.4 Redesigning and updating the school website.
6.Reports of the previous meeting and action taken was read out.
6.1 Seventy duel desks, 5 portable CD players purchased.
6.2 CC TV purchased and installed.
6.3 An inverter for primary under purchase.
6.4 The unused bathroom and store are converted as VP’s room.
6.5 KVS HQ has issued a workorder to UP Jalnigam for repair of the wall, toilets, primary chhajjas, electric wiring of primary section, school canteen as well as development of sports facilities in the school.
6.6 Thus it is more beneficial to get the whitewash of the building done after the completion of the repair work.
6.7 The estimates for the staircase and floor repairs given by MES have been sent to KVS (MR) for further transmission.
7. Special occasions to be celebrated.
7.1 Sports Day to be celebrated by Jan 2010.
7.2 Grandparent’s Day to be celebrated on 31.10.2009.
7.3 Balmela to be organized on 13.11.09 on the occasion of Children’s Day.
7.4 Excursion for primary proposed for Pushkar Mela and Tikujiniwadi. Essel World and a tour to Nehru Science Centre and planetarium for Secondary.
8. Reconstitution of VMC.
8.1 Mr Jha had withdrawn his child and thus Wg. Cdr. Kaundal has been replaced as the parent member.
9. ANY OTHER POINT:
9.1 AFWWA requested the school to allow the use of the lab for conducting computer classes for Air force wives.
10. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by VP. After that Chairman and Education Officer and Chairman nominee went to the library to see the practice of Youth Parliament which was preparedfor Zonals.
