Purpose of the New Role:
The purpose of this role is to provide a recent graduate with a opportunity to develop into a full data analyst within ADAC. The applicant will be expected to work on a wide-range of internal and external stakeholders. This will include working on projects of national importance and commercially sensitive contracts.
Main Responsibilities / % time per year1. / Provision of data analytical services for research and commercial projects / 60%
2. / Self-learning on new analytical techniques / 30%
3. / Dissemination results in a variety of forms / 5%
4. / Seek opportunities for new funding and/or projects to be undertaken by ADAC / 5%
5. / Any other duties appropriate to the grade and role.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential / DesirableQualifications/ Education /
- Degreein computer science or relevant subjects.
- Accreditation in software development and/or database technologies.
Skills/Training /
- Developing code in Matlab, and/or Python and/or C++ and/or Java and/or R.
- Knowledge of different database technologies
- Recognition of the importance oforganisational, collaborative, and communication skills for dissemination of results.
- Understanding and experience in the commercial sector.
- Understanding of statistical research methods and statistical analysis skills.
Experience /
- Experience in data handling best practices
- Experience in working in a service-orientated group.
