4-H Clothing Activity Day

SCHEDULE
9AM - Registration
- Demonstration on “How to Model”
- Participants Outfit Changing Time, Pictures
-Start Fashion Revue, Creative Consumer of Fashion, Construction, etc.
– Seniors first, followed by Intermediates, Juniors and Primaries
- Also, Clothing Judging contest will be held during AM
- We will take a lunch break at approximately noon – A simple lunch will be provided
- After lunch – Review of Clothing Judging classes
- Fashion Revue Show will be in the afternoon, followed by awards and refreshments
- There will be a variety of educational activities throughout the day
Please pre-register by Wednesday, August 3, to assure participation in craft and learning activities and to assist with planning.
The enclosed registration form outlines the activity categories for Clothing Activity Day
This day will be full of learning for members and leaders. Even if members haven’t completed their projects in time, encourage their participation in the educational events planned.
Care Labels and Name Tags--A care label must be permanently attached or instructions written on a 3"X5" card pinned to the garment.
Commentaries- Please furnish a typed 4" X 6" commentary card for each member with your registration. If you are unable to have them typed, a neatly handwritten card would be greatly appreciated. This allows the commentator time to review the cards and ask questions if needed prior to the style show.
Personal Data Sheets: Personal Data Sheets (Form EM0682E) must be submitted with the registration forms at Clothing day. Intermediate and senior data sheets:the commentary portion must be typed. Members will not be eligible for Top County Awards/State Fair participation if they have not completed correct forms. 4-H members would not be prohibited from competing at county level; however, they might not have their names in the program or have eligibility for Top County Awards.
Personal Data Sheets (EM0682E), Creative Consumers of Fashion Data Sheet (C1079E) and other forms are available from the Extension office or online at under “Upcoming Events”.
Be sure to plan ahead to have your forms prepared and ready to go! Bring completed registration forms, data sheets, and fashion commentaries to 4-H Clothing Day, August 5, at the Glenwood School.
IMPORTANT: Garments modeled at Clothing Activity Day must be brought to the 4-H room at County Fair on August 23 (between noon-8pm)with the data sheets and ribbons attached to receive premium money.
