BEA has moved to a new location!

We are excited to announce that BEA has moved to a new location within the NOVUM Building. We are now located at floor 6 of the Department of Biosciences and Nutrition. Please note that the Bioinformatics unit with David Brodin and Jessica Lindvall are still located at Floor 5 of the Clinical Research Center (KFC) in the Novum Building. Contact information has been updated and details can be found on the BEA web page,

Gene 1.1 ST Array now available for model organisms
Affymetrix Whole transcriptome Gene ST arrays are now available for model organisms on the GeneTitan Platform. Affymetrix Wholetranscriptome microarrays are among the most efficient and cost-effective method available for analyzing entire biological pathways with the most up-to-date array designs for 19 different model organisms.

Axiom Genotyping upgrade for the GeneTitan platform

BEA is considering upgrading the present GeneTitan platform for genotyping with the Axiom array system. With Axiom myDesign Genotyping Arrays you can create fully customizable genotyping array panels for genome wide association, replication, fine mapping, and candidate gene studies.

If you have interest in such an upgrade or if you want to have more detailed information about the Axiom system, contactFredrik Fagerström-Billai for questions.

Updated miRNA arrays from Affymetrix

To keep pace with the discovery of new and novel miRNA, Affymetrix is introducing the new GeneChip® miRNA 3.0 Array to the catalogue of miRNA arrays. This new array offers updated content with the same high performance as the previous generation of miRNA arrays.

Agilent summer campaign

Agilent and BEA are happy to offer you a special summer campaign on microarrays and service. This includes analysis on the SurePrint G3 platform. Gene Expression from 2.350 SEK/sample and Exon analysis from 2.600 SEK/sample. Pleasecontact Susann Fält for detailed information.

Summer vacation

BEA will be partly closed week 29-31 (July 16 - August 5). The BEA staff will be reduced during the rest of the summer, and we strongly recommend visitors to contact the core facility before visiting. Make sure that we are here to receive delivered packages.

We wish you all a very nice summer!
