JUNIOR CLASS RETREAT INFORMATION SHEET BUILD THE KINGDOM

Retreat A: Monday, November 10, departing after mass in chapel at 1:30pm from CCHS. Returning Wednesday, November 12 at 3:00pm.

Retreat B: Wednesday, January 21, 2015 , departing after mass in chapel at 2:30pm from CCHS. Returning Friday, January 23, 2015, 3:00pm.

PRIOR TO RETREAT:

NOTE: The Junior Class retreat is limited to 80 participants. The first 80 Juniors who submit the following completed items to De Sales 105 will be allowed to attend the retreat. If the retreat does not fill, the final day to submit permission slips is:

Retreat A – October 10 Retreat B –December 19

  1. Signed permission slip
  2. Signed covenant
  3. Signed Whispering Winds waiver
  4. Absence from class form

ALSO

  1. A fee of $135.00 will be assessed to the student’s account after the retreat. There will be no exchange of money- do not send a check or cash. (We invite and hope that every Junior will participate in this retreat, so if finances keep you from attending, we do offer scholarships. Please contact Ms. Purpera via email for further information.   2. Please fill out Google Form (link provided on the website) so we can have your information!
  3. Two weeks before – turn in to De Sales 105 your signed “Teacher Release From Class Form”

1ST DAY OF RETREAT- November and January

*Please drop off all bags at the Campus Ministry center (De Sales 103)before school starts on the day of the retreat. There will be a bag search of all students prior to boarding the bus. Regular Dress Code while in school. Keep your change of clothes with you or in your locker. You will not be able to access your bags until we are loading the bus.

*If you have any medications, please follow directions on the Retreat Medication Form. Before the school day, drop off medications with the nurse along with the medication form. They will be taken to the retreat site by an adult member of the campus ministry team.

*You may leave your car on campus if you so choose. If you are car-pooling, please make necessary arrangements about the parking space. CCHS takes no responsibility for damage to vehicles left on campus.

*We will meet at the chapel immediately following the last class of the day.

LAST DAY OF RETREAT

Students can be picked up at the back pick-up, drop-off loop. This is at the far end of the campus near the chapel. Students will be allowed to use their cell phones to call you as we travel from the retreat site to inform you of actual arrival time.

WHAT TO BRING:

Good Attitude!

Flashlight

Casual clothing, warm Clothes or coat for the evening.

NOTE: no super low rise jeans, tight sweatpants, midriff bearing shirts, short shorts or any other revealing clothing not appropriate for physical activities or sitting on the floor. Also, no clothing that looks like, or is, your pajamas. Sleeping bag and pillow

Musical instrument, poetry, or other art to be shared during Coffee House Mic

Note: Coffee House Mic is where students will be allowed to get up in front of the group and share something with the group. This could be playing a song, singing, reading poetry, etc. If you are interested in this, please bring along anything you might need for this. All Coffee House Mic items will need to be approved before performed.
