Coach Acknowledgement of Policies and Procedures
Academic Games Super Tournament XLIII--2017
As a coach for the Michigan Leagues of Academic Games, I have read all the materials and information regarding policies and procedures for the Super Tournament. The students, chaperones, parents, and coaches from my school understand the rules and procedures and expectations that were in the communications from the League (Super Tournament Memos, Coaches Responsibility Memo, etc.) The students, chaperones, parents, and coaches from my school fully understand the following:
- The use of the swimming pool and the area directly adjoining the swimming poolis not allowed by anyone registered with the MLAG.
- The use of the exercise room is not allowed by students registered with the MLAG.
- Room curfew time is to be adhered to by all students unless changed by a member of the MLAG executive committee.
- All MLAG participants including adults are to wear the designated ID badges at all times when outside the sleeping rooms.
- All rooming changes are to be made through the designated MLAG committee member.
- Students are not to enter the rooms of other students without the permission or knowledge of coaches or chaperones.
- Schools will be held responsible for any damages or missing items in the rooms or other parts of the hotel.
- Students are not to use the balconies or exit their rooms through the patio doors, if they should have either of these—Keep windows closed.
- Coaches are not to leave students alone and unchaperoned in the hotel at any time.
- The hotel is a non-smoking building, including the sleeping rooms and lavatories. This includes medical marijuana. There is a hefty fine for any violation.
- ANY FIRE OR EMERGENCY VIOLATION (calling 911, using a fire exit, stopping the elevator using the emergency button, or pulling a fire alarm) IS A FELONY AND HAS A STEEP FINE AND IS PUNISHABLE BY LAW!!! The student(s), parent, and school will be held accountable for any fines inflicted on the MLAG.
- Coaches or chaperones with children who are not participating in the tournament cannot book a room through the MLAG.
- Non-registered persons cannot enter the gaming area beyond the glass doors of the atrium.
The students, parents, chaperones, and coaches from this school understand that they are to comply with the above policies and procedures of the Michigan Leagues of Academic Games, as well school district rules and policies. School administrators will be notified of any violations of these rules or policies. (Use additional forms if there are more than 3 coaches at the school)
