Kim lives in the Tasmanian seaside suburb of BlackmansBay with his bride Eril and 12 year old daughter, Kelcey. He is chairman of the board of Sonartech Atlas Pty Ltd and a keen member of the executive within the Submarine Association and the Submarine Institute of Australia. His Dinghy, Kayaks, 800cc BMW motorcycle, big yellow “Defender” Off-Road Motor Vehicle, Camping trailer, push bike and wood working shed are barely sufficient to allow him to play to his heart content in the wonders of the Tasmanian bush and its surrounding waterways. But with the help of his family and his mates, he makes do! He is recent past president of the Rotary Club of Kingston; a member of the District’s Victorian Bushfire Relief Committee and particularly relishes every opportunity Rotary provides him to assist young people to achieve their full potential.
Tammy Palmer of the Rotary Club of Lindisfame, Tasmanian-born Tammy is a child and family health nurse. She is currently employed by the state Government’s Department of Health and Human Services and works for their child health and parenting service in the south-east region of Tasmania. Holding a Bachelor of Nursing, a graduate diploma of child and family health nursing and a masters in clinical nursing, she is dedicated to improving the health of Tasmania’s children. In her leisure time, she enjoys cooking fresh Tasmanian produce, reading, crafts and camping in her 1975 wattle yellow Kombi with friends.
Patrick Fagan of the Rotary Club of Latrobe, He is a financial advisor with a national independent advisory group. Patrick holds a Bachelors of Social Science, a graduate diploma of financial services. Patrick enjoys the daily challenges of assisting clients to reach their financial goals and is passionate about improving financial literacy within his local community. Tasmanian by birth, he was recently married to Lisa (just six weeks ago)and lives in Devonpart. Patrick enjoys entertaining family and friends, preferably with a cold Tasmanian beer. He loves sports and plays Australian Rules football, basketball, cricket and golf.
Laura Richardson of the Rotary Club Of Ulverstone. A passionate and dedicated member of her Ulterstone community, Laura is a self-employed Australian-trained osteopath. The current vice president of the Central Coast Rotaract Club, Laura has a particular interest in international development. Assisting children to find their spirit after escaping from trafficking, Laura supports the work of Destiny Rescue in South East Asia. Laura knows the benefit that one individual can make to changing life, to inspiring an individual and to generate change. With a developing sense of adventure for travel, Laura loves learning about different cultures and cuisines. Family and friends are important to Laura and she enjoys yoga, kayaking, reading, music and fine Tasmanian food and wine.
Danny Gibson of the Rotary Club of Central Launceston, Danny works for Australia’s largest media organization, Fairfax, as the marketing and community manager for the examiner newspaper in northern Tasmania. A former young Tasmanian of the year, Danny is passionate about the performing arts and youth education. He is a teacher, director, actor and community arts leader. Danny operates a drama school with 120 children, aged 5-17 years. He enjoys the excitement of seeing children’s confidence and personal development increase.
