ESCALANTE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING

REGULAR MEETING – 7:00 P.M.
ESCALANTE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS – 56 N. 100 W.
Chairman Tony Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Escalante City Council Chambers.
Present at said meeting were Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Elaine Lott, Tara Woolsey, Lawrence Barnes, Ed O’Kane, Terry Olsen, Marlene Stowe and City Treasurer Debbie Allen.
City Recorder Stephanie Steed was excused.
Also present were Bob Hartman, Dennis Waggoner and Dana Waggoner.
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Commissioner Woolsey made a motion to adopt the agenda as written. Commissioner O’Kaneseconded the motion. Motion carried with Commissioners Barnes, Lott, O’Kane, Woolsey and Olsen voting aye.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MINUTES OF THE APRIL 25, 2017 MEETING
Commissioner Barnes made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 25, 2017 meeting as written. Commissioner Woolsey seconded the motion. Motion carried with Commissioners O’Kane, Lott, Woolsey, Olsen and Barnes voting aye.
SCHEDLULED ITEMS
DENNIS AND DANA WAGGONER – CONVERSION OF SHED INTOA LAUNDRY ROOM AND FAMILY BATHROOM – 310 W. MAIN
Mrs. Waggoner said this is the Fly Shop building and they want to install two washers, two dryers and a family bathroom. Commissioner Lott asked if this will be used by guest or their business. Mrs. Waggoner said this will be used for guest and also laundry for their business. Chairman Peterson asked if his employer was involved in this project. Mrs. Waggoner said no.This item was discussed at length. Commissioner Lott made a motion to approve the Municipal Project Approval Form for Dennis and Dana Waggoner to convert their existing shed into a laundry room and family bathroom in accordance with Chapter 10.220.029 of the Planning and Zoning Ordinance. Commissioner Woolsey seconded the motion. Motion carried with Commissioners O’Kane, Olsen, Barnes, Lott and Woolsey voting aye.
Commissioner Olsen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:07 p.m. Commissioner Woolsey seconded the motion. Motion carried all in favor.
