SECTION 4: SELECTION CRITERIA

Please outline how you meet the essential criteria and any desirable criteria by providing clear and specific examples for each and every one of the criteria listed. Please also give details of dates experience was achieved.
The panel will shortlist on the information you provide in this section. Your application will not be shortlisted if you fail to provide evidence of how you meet each of the following:

Essential Criteria
- Educated to at least A Level or Equivalent
- At least 2 years proven fundraising or event management experience
- Proven event marketing and event management experience
- Proven experience of initiating, planning, marketing and evaluating new events taking them through to successful completion
- Proven experience of collaborative working and effective communication
- Proven experience of supporting and working with volunteers
- Proven experience of building and sustaining relationships with donors and supporters
- Experience of budget management and cost control
- Proven experience of generating media coverage
- Proven relevant experience of using social and digital media effectively to boost participation in and awareness of events and community activities and to encourage support from younger audience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the flexibility to deal with people of all ages and walks of life
- Excellent written skills and proven experience in developing high quality event materials
- Proven experience in developing and writing sponsorship proposals
- Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills and the ability to set up, manage and complete projects within time constraints
- The ability to trouble-shoot, problem solve and think on your feet
- A calm and organised manner
- Proven experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proven experience in using a fundraising Database like Raisers’ Edge to manage relationships, plan activities and record income and expenditure
Desirable Criteria
- Educated to Degree Level or equivalent in a marketing or business related discipline
- At least 4 years proven fundraising or event management experience
- Valid UK driving licence and the use of a car
- Commitment to the work of NICHS
