COURSE EVALUATION

The student will demonstrate his/her skills by completing various assignments using the applications. The student will create assigned projects using the Microsoft Office Suite 2013 and Windows 7, Google Training and web page creation. There are graded assignments, projects, quizzes and tests as the student progresses through the trimester.

The trimester grade is calculated with assignments, projects, quizzes and tests counting 80% of the grade, and the final exam counting as 20% of the trimester grade.

Each assignment, project, quiz or test is given a point value based on the complexity of the item. These points are calculated and given a letter grade based on the following scale:

93-100 = A / 80 – 82 = B- / 67 – 69 = D+
90- 92 = A- / 77 - 79 = C+ / 63 – 66 = D
87 – 89 = B+ / 73 – 76 = C / 60-62 = D-
83 – 86 = B / 70 – 72 = C- /
BELOW 60 = E

Please check Power School for your current grade often. Keep all your graded papers in case there is a grade dispute. Only a graded paper returned to you will cause me to change your grade. Make sure to check Power School each time you receive a graded assignment. Do not turn in late assignments and expect to have your grade raised at the end of the trimester. Power School rounds all assignments throughout the trimester and the final percentage is what you earned. Do not ask me to change the percent (round up of course) at the end of the trimester. If you have any questions about your grade at any time, please talk with your instructor.

This is a very informative and useful class that can have immediate impact on academic, business and personal opportunities for you. There is nothing done in class that cannot be accomplished by each and every student who makes an effort to do so. Attendance is critical to your success!

NOTE: This is the only class that will satisfy your computer graduation requirement. The only other way for you to satisfy this requirement is for you to test out of the class.
