Achieving peace through violence –resolving conflict through violence / Achieving peace through compassion –resolving conflict through love and forgiveness
Defining success through reputation, looks, possessions, and other people’s opinions / Defining success by how well we are able to give and receive love, compassion and forgiveness
Entrapped by guilt and shame over our indiscretions / Living free from guilt through grace (God’s unconditional love and forgiveness)
Perpetually living with a sense that something is missing: “ Is this all there is?” / Living with an overwhelming sense of abundance and living a life with purpose and direction
A very limited definition of family –our immediate clan and a few others / Definition of family extended to include all of humanity
Judgmental of others – condemning others who have lost their way / Forgiving of others – always looking for ways to reassimilate those who have lost their way
Exclusive mentality- looking for ways to exclude others from what is determined to be the suitable, acceptable, or proper group / Inclusive mentality – looking for ways to include those who are marginalized or disenfranchised
Living selfishly –hoarding one’s wealth / Living generously – sharing your gifts and resources
