WEIGHT TRAINING I, II AND III (& Independent Study) SYLLABUS

The objectives of our program can best be met by self-dedication and responsibility. Weight Training is by all purposes an independent study course in which you will get out of it what you put into it. There are no lectures, but information will be made available to help you study for your quarter and final exams. Each class is an extension of the one that precedes it, with new information being gained by instructor guidance and an accumulative knowledge by exams, as well as student experimentation.

The following grading system will be followed to assist the student in reaching his/her objectives and goals:

CLASS REQUIREMENTS

  1. Students must follow their approved and prescribed programs. Alternatives to the instructor’s Bigger, Faster, Stronger program will be admissible as long as the instructor approves them.
  2. Students must participate in the pre and post strength tests, and power tests.
  3. Students must complete the quarter and final exams.

4. Students are required to lift on game-days. 50% of your normal workload

should be used on all sets.

5. All students must fill out their program every day for core-lifts, and auxiliaries, and complete all of the power tests 2 times throughout the semester.
