NOTICE OF A COUNCIL MEETING FOR THE TABLING OF THE 2012/2013 ANNUAL REPORT; MID-YEAR BUDGET & PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT REPORT

AND ADJUSTMENT BUDGET

The Annual Report is tabled herein in terms of the Local Government: Municipal System Act, 32 of 2000, section 46 (1) which stipulates that, “a municipality must prepare for each financial year an annual report consisting of performance report reflecting (a) the performance of the municipality and of each external service provider during that financial year; (b) a comparison of the performances referred to in paragraph (a) with targets set for and performances in the previous financial year; and (c) measures taken to improve performance.

Section 72 and 54 of the Municipal Financial Management Act, 56 of 2003, necessitate the tabling of the Mid-Year Budget and Performance Assessment Report and tabling of the Adjustment Budget.

The Speaker/Mayor of Ventersdorp Local Municipality; Cllr CN Phoyane hereby invites all stakeholders to attend Council meeting during the tabling of these important service delivery compliance reports.
