Billing and Finance Associate

Queen of Peace Center has an opportunity for a Billing and Finance Associate. Queen of Peace center is a family-centered behavioral healthcare provider for women with addiction, their children and families. The gender focused female recovery center provides a variety of treatment options to women with co-occurring disorders and those affected by trauma. This opportunity is at a transitional housing facility.

General Description: The Billing and Finance Associate is responsible for the recording and billing of client fees with all Queen of Peace Center funding sources, managing budgets from private and public grant awards, grant financial reporting and analysis, and other organizational finance tasks. Position will also assist with data collection for grant reporting and organizational dashboards.

Responsibilities:

1.Submit reimbursement claims for the Missouri Department of Behavioral Health (DBH), HMO’s, and all other funding sources

2.Prepare direct billing, invoicing, and/or request payments for all delivered services from DBH and other grant awards (including private, public, and federal awards)

3.Collect and submit third party payment when applicable.

4.Follow all procedures specified by the agency’s varying funding sources when preparing invoicing and/or submitting reimbursement claims

5.Maintain up-to-date client records for CSTAR program and State of Missouri.

6.Prepare and maintain monthly billing to Administration and Accounting office.

7.Coordinate and review billing daily to assist with Clinical Operation

8.Maintain spreadsheets of financials, data and grant information

9.Assist with the preparation of financial reports and budgets

10.Prepare financial analyses of programs for budgeting and forecasting

11.Review claims for errors, duplicates, and missing data

12.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, public administration, health

administration, or other related fields OR five years related experience.

2. Good communication skills, both oral and written

3. Competent in computer skills including Excel spreadsheets, Access databases and other

software systems;

4. Ability to manage time well and finish tasks in an efficient manner

5. Ability to work well under pressure with frequent deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proficient in SQL programming language (Microsoft SQL Server 2008)
  2. Experience working with claims, invoices, and/or grant reporting
