Indicates Matter Stricken
Indicates New Matter
The House assembled at 12:00 noon.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:
Our thought for today is from Isaiah 43: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
Let us pray. Ruler of the Universe, as we begin again the routine of a new Session, be our Organizing Principle. Help us to make wise decisions that honor You and Your creation. Open us to Your affection, surround us in it’s safe embrace, and make us brave in the confidence of Your love, so we might live a live worthy of Your calling. Be our constant guide through these days. Hear our spoken and silent prayers, O God of Light. Amen.
Pursuant to Rule 6.3, the House of Representatives was led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America by the SPEAKER.
