What is ”act art”?
act art guiding offers a playful and experimental approach to any destination. act art guides are a new generation of tourist guides, involving artists skills to create unique, experimental natural and cultural site discoveries, stimulating tourists own creativity.
What happened so far?
In April 2014, 11 participants from four baltic countries were invited by HOTSPOT Kölleröd 2.0. to participate in an act art workshop. The workshop had the aim to test whether there was crossboarder interest for the development of a common art+tourism project and product. Participants of the workshop were artists, tourism planers, regional developers, tourist guides and coaches.
What is the aim of the Estonianworkshop?
Together with potenial partners from Estonia we want to build an international platform aiming at developing a training for artists to become act art guides as well as a product and marketing strategy for the act art tourism experience. On the 11th of September we will identify interested partners from Estonia, funding opportunities and sketch a process draft.
Who is invited?
We invite tourism and regional development decision makers as well as representativesof artist associations. ( HEAK, REAK, Kose Parish, Rapla Parish, Kohila Parish, Estonian Association of Tourist Guides, Kose Art Centre, Raplamaa Contemporary Art Centre, TAKKK, Ida- Harju Leader)
