Please read these notes carefully before completing your application. They contain guidance on how to complete the application and what we are looking for in a good application. Job Description

The job description contains all the information about the roles and responsibilities of the job that you are applying for. The person specification is also on the same document and contains all the essential and desirable characteristics that we are looking for from the ideal candidate. You should read this information thoroughly before completing the application form and ensure that you meet all the criteria. This document also contains a summary of some of the terms and conditions of the job such as salary or hourly rate, term of contract if applicable and the hours required for the role.

Filling in the Application Form

You must complete all the parts of the application form. It is important to mention that we do not accept CVs and if you include one with your form it will be detached and excluded from the short listing process.If you wish to submit additional information in support of your application, please attach additional sheets ensuring that they are clearly marked with your name and the post you are applying for. You should show clearly how your experience, knowledge, skills and abilities are relevant to the requirements of the post.Include details of any skills or experience gained from voluntary work.

Short Listing and Interview

Short listing will start as soon as possible after the closing deadline. When short listing, we will be looking for evidence that you have the right skills as detailed in the job description. You will only be asked to an interview if it can be ascertained at short listing that you have clearly shownyou satisfy the requirements of the job description in competition with other candidates. Where possible we will supply dates of when the interviews will be held in the job advert.

If you are short listed for an interview we will contact you by phone to arrange a suitable time. We will then send a confirmation email so you have all the information that you need about the details of the interview and how to get here. We will let you know in advance of the interview if you are required to complete an assessment on the day of the interview or if you are required to bring or prepare anything. Unfortunately we are unable to reimburse travel expenses.

If you are not short listed for interview you will be contacted by email following the interviews.

Offer of Employment

All offers of employment are made subject to the receipt of satisfactory references.Under the Asylum and Immigration Act, we are required to ensure that anyone taking up employment at Sheffield Theatres has the legal right to work in the UK.
