Target Audience

This program has been designed for cardiologists, physicians in internal medicine, clinical and basic scientists in medicine, biology, genetics, medical engineering, pharmacology, physiology and other specialties; PhDs and PhD candidates.

Educational

·  Modify hospital systems such as admitting, discharge, transfers, medication, monitoring, etc. based on identification of problems through case discussions

·  Recognize the importance of collaborative efforts involving physicians and ancillary staff that lead to safety and quality improvements

·  Improve and practice through reviewing records specifics and revisiting adverse events to gain insight

·  Discuss medical literature related to specific practice based guidelines

·  Address gaps in communication between physicians, nurses and staff to decrease morbidity and mortality
