Overview of the Outdoor Education Program
Parkland Magnet Middle School
What is Outdoor Education?
Outdoor Education is part of the 6th grade curriculum for all students in Montgomery County. It provides on-site, hands-on environmental education and team-building experiences that cannot be carried out at the home school. During their 3-day/2-night stay, students are accompanied by their teachers and other school staff who provide instruction and supervision. The friendships they will make and experiences they will have will help them throughout their entire 6th grade year.
