Job description: Contracts Manager
Accountable to:Chief Executive
Grade:NJC SCP £25,440 pro-rata
Hours:30 hours per week which may include occasional evening and weekend work
Holiday entitlement:25 days plus bank holidays
Probationary period:3 months
Period of Contract:1 year fixed term
Period of Notice:1 month during probationary period, thereafter 2 months

Job Purpose
To work with the Chief Executive and Board members to deliver the Families Health & Wellbeing Consortium (FHWB)’s mission and strategic objectives through the efficient and effective financial and contract management of the company resources, in accordance with the current Business Plan
Duties
The Contracts Manager has, under the overall direction of the Chief Executive, responsibility for the FHWB’s contract management. This entails:
- Day to day management of on-going contracts.
- Support to the Chief Executive.
The post holder will be line managed by and report to the Chief Executive. The main duties and responsibilities will be:
1Contract Management
1.1 To prepare and submit reports, planning documents and information required by funders/clients with regards to service level agreements and any other contractual obligations.
1.2 To ensure appropriate systems are in place for monitoring information required by funders and to ensure that all sub-contracted staff are fully briefed as to their responsibilities in respect of monitoring information.
1.3 To ensure appropriate prompt and accurate reporting to funders/clients according to requirements
1.4 To maintain and update relevant databases in order that data integrity is maintained and information is consistent across the data platforms.
1.5 To monitor and assess available funding opportunities, and manage the collaborative process of completion of funding applications and tender submissions.
1.6To develop new partnerships across Lancashire to maximise existing and potential funding/tender opportunities
1.7 To assist the Chief Executive in ensuring that individual contractual requirements are fully completed according to agreed schedules.
1.8 To carry out the FHWB’s contract system activities, which include: -
- Process, check and audit contract paperwork in line with the timescales
- Issue notifications to subcontractors for returns
- Monitor subcontractor and overall performance, check, record and file all returns
- Submit reports and returns as required by commissioner
- Produce any other associated reports as required
2General Responsibilities
2.1To ensure a high standard of professional conduct in dealing with other services and members of the public.
2.2To contribute to the update of the FHWB Policies and Procedures.
2.3To undertake any training considered necessary by the Chief Executive.
2.4To participate in a process of continuous evaluation of the organisation’s effectiveness in fulfilling its aims and objectives.
2.5To comply in all areas of work with the FHWB’s Equal Opportunities Policy, Safeguarding and other policies.
2.6To participate in Supervision.

This job description is current at the date shown but, in consultation with the postholder, it is liable to variation by the Charity to reflect change in or to the job outlined above.
The post has a requirement of 30 hours per week which can be agreed with the Chief Executive. The post holder must be flexible to respond to needs at busy times and be prepared to work unsociable hours and travel when required.
